Thanks for the ping Diana.

I'm going to try to get involved in a freep at that time, if not in D.C. then a regional one. A lot depends on hubby's condition and spring break for the grandkids. It's all up in the air now, but I will do what I can.

I will post additional details when I get them. So far, it seems like the College Republicans will be there to oppose the Left, as well as a few other FReepers.

Tell me again why you guys never can get the park? Do the Leftists have a permanent permit for the park the same time each year? Why won't the city help you guys out?

We didn't even bother with going for the park this year. Not after last year's mess. Last year we had the park. I guess whoever had reserved it, didn't have a high enough attendance estimate. The moonbats came along and wanted the park and because they said they would have these huge numbers of people in attendance, the city took the park from us and gave it to the moonbats. What the city should have done was send the moonbats to another city park. That's kind of the gist of what happened.

Don't be discouraged my FRiend. I say you guys try as soon as possible for next year. The Gathering of Eagles is waking up a lot of people. Get a group together with the local Rolling Thunder and other Vets, organize and do it right this time. Instead of an individual getting the permit, your group will do it. Apply for it immediately for next year and get the media involved early in case the city tries to buckle under pressure.

"Cindy Doesn't Speak For Los Angeles" Rally
March 1, 2007 | oneamericanvoice

Posted on 03/01/2007 8:20:08 PM PST by oneamericanvoice

As the Eagles are gathering in Washington DC on March 17th to make a stand against the forces of evil, we, in Los Angeles will be gathering to do the same, right in the belly of the beast...Hollywood.

ANSWER plans to march up the street from their headquarters on Argyl and Hollywood Boulevard starting at noon, to an area in front of the Kodak Theater. Community activists Ted Hayes and Deborah Leigh will spearhead the "questioning" of ANSWER.

Please come and support the troops, the Commander-in-Chief, America and those fighting to remain liberated! Now is the time to end the armchair patriotism! Let's make a strong stand! Bring your flags, signs, banners, and spirit! Stay tuned for more details!

Regarding the Hollywood, CA counter: the police will not allow a counter at Argyl, nor would you want to since they end up at Hollywood and Highland for their rally. So we will be on the northeast corner of Hollywood Blvd at Highland.
