US Skyguard Laser Defense in Action
Too cool -- THANKS for the inspirational post.
Impressive but can it get all the incoming illegals?
Great video. That thing even takes out artillery shells. Youtube can be a great resource but it seems to have a high number of mental defectives populating the comments section.

Woohoo typos.... :)
um. I am thinking that's an israeli unit.
Can we bounce it off an mirror on an AWACS and vaporize Hugo Chavez?
But can they attach the frickin' lasers to the heads of sharks?

How many people went without health insurance for the cost of developing this? How many senior citizens weren't able to afford medications because of this and other forms of military waste?
God what an idiot. And this person would probably profess that he/she/it 'supports' the troops.
Y'know, we COULD paint a set of gills and some teeth on the Airborne Laser aircraft, kinda like the "Shamu" livery on some of the Southwest Airline jets...
Hehehehe...
These are obviously the comments of those weaned on the breasts of socialists nanny state doctrine where the military is almost banned and all military projects are lower priority than getting new parking meters.
Show me any other country (besides Israel) that boasts great military technology like this!
Yes, it's impressive but I am afraid if cats fly in low enough they will stay below the weapon's horizon till they're on top of troops . . . |

Looks like clear skies to me. Wonder how well it works through obscurants such as battlefield smoke, clouds, etc.
Cat defense is easy.
1) Put a little butter on the end of your rifle.
2) Say "Here, kitty, kitty, kitty".
3) While the cat is licking the butter, pull the trigger.
Works every time.
I saw a brief documentary on this with much of the same footage. There has to be more to this, otherwise it would be deployed everywhere.
The problem is that huge extension cord.
