That must be quite a big perch for all of them that hang out on this forum, and I might add that they are full of boo as well.

Dear 3niner,
"A check written for money that is not in the account is still bad, even if it doesn't bounce."
Not if the bank has informed you that you have overdraft protection. In that case, writing the check doesn't make it bad, but rather accesses a line of credit in place for your use.
That these overdraft lines of credit were cost-free, and apparently available to any member of the House without any sort of credit check was indeed a scandal. But the scandal lay more with the folks who set up the rules (the ruling Democrats), not with folks who used the service within prudent parameters.

To: 3niner
The scandal was that Americans found out what was being done for Congresscritters, that would never be done for ordinary Americans.
You're right. And it went on for decades under Democrat rule before Newt and the crew arrived and set it right. If anything, Hunter is guilty of not seeing that this common Congressional practice was a bad idea and would reflect badly on him. As far as I know, he did nothing illegal though and never left anyone holding the bag for a bad check. Is there evidence to the contrary?

I think a few of these freepers who support liberals who support baby killing, and the homosexual agenda would rather have it held in Hell.

I am starting to like Hunter.

You wish you were an anarchist. You are a leftist liberal. Plain and simple.
BTW: It is well said that the worst form of tyranny is "no government". That is Anarchy.
Don't call yourself an anarchist and:
Use public water
Use public transportation
Call the police when you are in danger
Use the courts when you are agreived
No you are NO anarchist you don't have the backbone for it. Think you do? Spend five minutes in a locked room with a 350 pound harry dirty thug who faces no repercussions for what happens to him after exiting and you will know anarchy.
You aren't even a liberal. You are a young juvenile who hasn't finished developing scio, geo and local political views to the point that you are mature enough to be on this board.
Run along now and enjoy your Starbucks...

Yes indeed. Sadly, the MSM sycophants continue to "push" their version of Dem lite.

Yes indeed. Sadly, the MSM sycophants continue to "push" their version of Dem lite.
They will continue to do so until we force them to acknowledge a candidate like Hunter. If enough of us call in the talk shows, write letters, email our friends and family, and create the background buzz outside the Free Republic echo chamber, big things can happen.
But we've got to get going sooner rather than later.

Well, take this prediction to the bank: Business interests will snub Hunter in a big way, and as a result his campaign is going fizzle midstream. Hide and watch.

They'll have to strangle Hunter's campaign in the cradle, then, because if it gets to "midstream" and he's moving up toward the nomination, big busineses might start to get on board, just to cover their bets/butts.

"Wrong! I want the religious conservatives to get the hell out and form their own party".
this is great-if you go to the rudy threads they are claiming we want them out. FINALLY one of them that is honest!
i dont think they realize if you take the religious conservatives and the social conservatives out of the equation, all you got is a liberal.

Okay so far your predictions are worthless. Do as you like but please DO NOT go to meteorlogical school.
Duncan Hunter has already gotten a lot of money from some VERY wealthy business people. Steal companies AND their workers will agree on supporting Duncan Hunter.
Textile companies AND their workers will agree on supporting Duncan Hunter
Auto manufacturers AND their workers will agree on supporting Dunc Hunter.

Great, you Googled Berry Amendment and found that. Now read the actual amendment and see the process to get a waiver. Sure subcomponents can come from overseas but that constitutes very little of the actual amount of the defense spending pie.
Now, like I asked, please supply said examples of "most of the defense hardware" that is now coming from overseas, especially China.
To: Antoninus
The odds are stacked against him.
No sitting congressman has been elected to the Presidency since James A. Garfield in 1880.
Is it possible? Sure. Likely? No.
