Global warming on Mars
In its ninth year in orbit around Mars, NASA's Mars Global Surveyor has made a number of surprising discoveries. http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/mgs/newsroom/20050920a.html For three Mars summers in a row, deposits of frozen carbon dioxide near Mars' south pole have shrunk from the previous year's size, suggesting a climate change in progress. Apparently, President Bush's enviromental policies are so destructive that they are causing global warming throughout the solar system. (HT: Instapundit)

We must IMMEDIATELY shoot ALGORE into apace to become Dictator of Mars, and save the Martians from thier SUV's.
So not only is ALGLORE affecting Global Warming but so has Marvin!!!
Well, we're not going to reign in rampant consumerism and American excess by throwing away a perfectly good scare tactic like Global Warming. Exactly what are you trying to achieve?
An "inconvenient truth".
Where's the media, you ask? In my neck of the woods, the cry to "stop climate change" has become deafening. Ad council PSAs on televison, articles in all kinds of print media... It's getting to be a self-parody.
LOL. Who's got the global warming ping list?
Better notify France that Mars has not signed the Kyoto treaty, so he can tax them, too!

Sources at the talks said the IPCC approved the term very likely in Thursdays sessions. That means they agree that there is a 90 percent chance that humans are aggravating any natural warming by burning fossil fuels, which release carbon into the atmosphere and add to the greenhouse effect around Earth.
So the IPCC has changed its statment from 'humans causing global warming' to 'humans aggravating natural warming.' With this statement, the IPCC has acknowledged that the Earth is undergoing a natural warming cycle. But they insist we are making it worse so we need to gut our economies, not to stop global warming, but to reduce man's contribution. If the Earth is heating up, how significant is man's contribution and why should we try to counter Mother Nature?

While it is theoretically possible for human and animal activities to affect the climate on Earth, the main factor causing fluctuations in temperatures on this planet, as on Mars, is variability in energy output from the Sun. The Mars Global Surveyor data suggest what I think would be a relatively simple experiment: Why not place thermometers... |

This whole GlobalWarming™ thing would be laughable, if it wasn't for the dire consequences we face by trying to combat it.
It's akin to my taking the average gain in temperature over a week in late March and crying, "OMG! Just think how high the temperature will be in January!! It'll be like 3000°!!"
Wonder if we can relocate the UN to Mars?
...oh, and then cranking up my air-conditioner, and running around opening all my windows to help cool off the planet.
'Specially when Mankind, I mean Folkkind, seems historically to prosper more during warm cycles...!
"Wonder if we can relocate the UN to Mars?"
Like that. Like it very much. Thanks for making my day a little brighter!
Is the phrase "humans aggravating natural warming" directly from the new IPCC report, or just from the article? If the IPCC is now calling it "natural warming" and saying that humans "aggrevate" instead of "cause", that's a massive departure.
So the IPCC is admitting that global warming theories are aggravating humans?
I love how you identify the Global Warming Hoax with the trademark: GlobalWarming
