Congressman Dennis Kucinich is now on Fox. He is reintroducing the "Fairness Doctrine" to be passed into law. He does not like conservative radio and blogs and is intent upon ending them by making broadcasters air "opposing opinions" for each "conservative program." He is ripping Hannity for "not letting him talk" even as he is interviewed. I suspect the House will pass this. Don't know about the Senate.

There's really no difference among the fascists, the socialists and the commies except the fascists are a tad more likely to be anti-semitic.

Kucinich on Hannity: 'The airwaves belong to the people"
"The people" to Kucinich: This is neither Stalinist Russia nor North Korea.
Kucinich can feel free to move to north Korea anytime he wants.

I would imagine that it would require the liberal sources of information to also provide an opposing point of view, otherwise they would be in violation of the act.
Or am I wrong?

And who will decide's what's fair in your New Order? In the old one we have the Constitution and the 1st Amendment.

Do you really think that is going to happen?

I got to hand it to Alan Colmes during the interview. He told Kucinich that he was on talk radio during the Fairness Doctrine and it was a mess. Stationed had to make all kinds of reports to the government whenever they had on any one who was controversial.
He also said that the Supreme Court has ruled that radio also has a right to freedom of speech.
I got to hand it to Colmes this one time.

Excellent point. You think this will apply to NPR - the Air America our tax dollars fund?

Does this mean that pro wrestling shows have to devote a portion of their programs to figure skating? LOL!I'm surprised that Title 9, the "fairness doctrine" of college sports that decimated men's college sports, hasn't been applied to pro sports. It's just a matter of time....

"I have no faith in the Senate"
I don't see how anyone could, especially after that judicial filibuster fiasco. The media had no problem with it, of course.

I volunteer to serve as the alternative point of view for ANY Conservative talk show in existence. Most of them really aren't all that conservative (as we, here on FR, know), and that ought to satisfy the law eh?!
I'd simply check FR on a daily basis to prepare my new material for this purpose.

The "Fairness Doctrine" is communism, applied to speech.
Central control.
