Donald makes a move on Rudy!
"a habit of showing up in drag"
You make it sound like he does this every day. Ignorant!
I recall that during the 2000 presidential race, there were allegations of photos of Bush dancing nekkid on a bar.
Those never materialized.
With Rudy, there is no shortage of photos and videos of him doing the drag queen.
And YouTube means it will be readily available for public consumption without a massive negative advertising budget.
And if you think it's bad now, just wait if Rudy wins the nomination. The Dems will play this stuff in heavy rotation - on YouTube and on spot buys in crossover red/blue states.
Rudy should have thought long and hard before indulging in this stuff.
He was dumb enough to do at all. This crap is tailor made for YouTube.
McGreevy had a wife and he cheated too.
This is a New York thing, and Rudy is the quintessential New Yorker. That's what New Yorkers do, they make self-deprecating jokes and poke fun of themselves.
Rudy also did the Letterman Top Ten list and acted out in Letterman's and SNL skits too. Oh the horror!
He's not the first person to do this .. and I'm sure he won't be the last.
These kinds of events raise a lot of money for charity. It's a fun thing .. and I can't see why people are getting so upset about it.
Except for one itty bitty problem.
Rudy ain't running for mayor of New York now.
How many of them subsequently ran for president?
I live in the Philly burbs. If that were my only background, I might be inclined to agree that videos of Rudy in drag ain't a big deal.
But I've also lived in Oklahoma. And I can guarantee that it won't play well there. Oklahoma just elected a Dem governor. The state is in play. And y'all think you can push a pro-choice, anti-gun, pro-gay and pro-amnesty GOP nominee out there - and top off that sundae with a made-for-YouTube video of him in drag?
I have no idea.
You can think whatever you want about this .. but it's NOTHING!! You're wasting your time trying to make something out of it.
And .. so what if he's running for president .. I'm sure it never entered his mind that people would hold dressing up for a charity event against him.
You really need to get something straight here. You don't need to worry about ME making something of it. You need to worry about the DEMS making something of it.
And .. so what if he's running for president .. I'm sure it never entered his mind that people would hold dressing up for a charity event against him.
Quite frankly, that's the ENTIRE PROBLEM HERE. He (and you, apparently) don't seem to grasp that being pro-choice, anti-gun, pro-amnesty, pro-gay rights and a cross-dresser to boot might not play well in Reddest America. After all, all that is acceptable in New York City.
But he ain't running for mayor now. HE HAS TO WIN OVER THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. INCLUDING A WHOLE BUNCH OF SOCIAL CONSERVATIVES. And what happens in New York .. ain't gonna stay in New York once the Dems get going.
I think it's good that he (RINO-rudy) has a sense of humor, but I, and many other true conservatives, don't take HIM seriously.
He is, without a doubt, NOT CONSERVATIVE Presidential material.
I don't know about that.
He promotes and supports much of the gay agenda, lived with gay friends when he got divorced, marched in gay parades, has a speech impediment (a lisp?), loves to cross-dress at the drop of a hat (only for "special" events, of course), and...
Lived and worked in close proximity with new joisey governor, jim mcgreavy (mcgreavy tried to hide HIS gayness by marrying a woman also).
But beside all of the doubt about RINO-rudy's heterosexual (only) make-up, he's NOT RIGHT for the Republican party's Presidential choice for 2008 because...
He's TOO DAMN LIBERAL.
Of course he's not running for mayor NOW!
He didn't do this event NOW!! He did it years ago!!! Hello!!!! That's the point I've been trying to make for hours now but it doesn't seem to be getting through.
And .. I don't think middle America is as hard-nosed about a charity event as you seem to think.
I thought the video was hillarious .. I watched it a couple of times. I just don't think this has any "gotcha" to it.
or, at least...
They need to start RU (RINO Underground).
You don't get it, do you?
John Kerry spoke out against soldiers decades before he was nominated for president.
The video images of Rudy in drag will be aired time and time again by the Dems in battleground states. It doesn't matter when it happened.
Well .. I do get it!
This is nothing! The dems will not even mention this.
You're hyperventilating over nothing!
You are kidding, right? You cannot possibly believe that.
I mean, Freepers NEVER made use of Kerry's bunny space suit to make him look unpresidential.
Milton Berle was funny. And, oh yeah, he didn't lisp as much.
