HELP! Every time I try to see youtube video's I get this message "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest flash player
I have no idea where to go to see if JavaScript is turned off, and when I try to download the latest flash player it does nothing.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

I have had the same trouble with a number sites that apparently require a new version of Adobe Flash Player being installed on their system. If you are using a windoze ME ops, or perhaps a early release of XP ops, chances are you have updated your Adobe Flash Player for a long time, assuming you have it installed.
The problem is if you try to install a new version it probably will not work. The ME system for instance only allows for up to release 6.1.0. The new versions are I believe in the ten range at this point.
I have tried to re-install the player, fiddled to no end with settings in my browser etc., to no end.
Another thing. If like me you are using an updated version of the Firefox browser (2.X.X), again, it's available plugins that can be downloaded seem out of sync with the new Adobe Player. A no win situation.
