Giuliani Is Cautious (indecisive?) as He Weighs ’08 Decision
NY Times ^ | SAM ROBERTS

Rudolph W. Giuliani, who developed a national reputation for decisive and reassuring leadership after 9/11, now faces the odd challenge of having to reassure some supporters that he can be decisive about a very different issue: running for president. Even as his fellow Republican John McCain and fellow New Yorker Hillary Rodham Clinton have all but formally declared their candidacies, Mr. Giuliani has proceeded more cautiously.

Notice i don't need to pick on your spelling error like some people? I type poorly, and would prefer to debate than nitpick.

WOT and national defense trumps everything!

1. Borders
2. Private gun ownership
3. Culture

Rotting the country from the inside out is not going to win the war and is destroying future soldiers.

Only at FR. Didn't you notice the '06 election results? Electing Dims to Congress wasn't a pro-defense anti-terror vote. And W. would have lost to Kucinich if he'd been up for re-election in '06. I know a lot of FReepers can't stand to hear it but it's true.

And even if Rudy picked up a few purples like WI and MN, Hillary would probably get a few southern states and would likely scoop up Ohio.

For me, I see that in my all-Red state, Dims came alive in '06, registration and voting up over 10% for them. We had them beat and now they're becoming competitive again. That's a bad sign and we need a strong conservative for '08, not a Hillary Lite (Rudy) or Grampa Walton (McStain).

"Ma'am, i may be drunk (I'm not really, but work with me here) but you are ugly. In the morning, i will be sober."

It's a quote, not a personal attack. I have no idea if you are pretty or not, and i really don't care. Everyone here looks like a KDS 17" flat panel monitor to me anyway.

Rudy has said we need to secure the border before we do anything else. I don't believe Rudy will try to ban all guns and POTUS can't change the culture of the country.

Add Michigan to the list of states in play should Rudy run.

When you proclaim yourself to be a *superior* person - you should expect to be held to that standard.

Btw - how is the anti-abortion movement doing, iyo?

We lost in 2006 because of how Bush has mismanaged the war. He should have sent in enough troops to finish the job to begin with. He should have bounced Rumsfeld after 2004. However, everyone knows Rudy is very competetent and would make a great CiC and he'll bring the votes back in.

Why should a Conservative vote for a democrat lite( left wing with an R by their name)?

They would do more damage than a left wing with a D by their name because the real democrat would be easier to fight.

The sorriest people are the ones who say they are in the middle, because their "values" are for sale to the highest bidder.
