[President Bush] denied this was a prelude to stronger action These two actions are completely separate. The first was requested by a top field commander, and the other has been under consideration by literally dozens of top administration and Pentagon planners and advisers. They could hardly be more disconnected. (/ fantasizing)

Admiral Yamamoto would have denied plans to attack Pearl Harbor too. At least W is keeping them guessing and hopefully, making them sweat.

I hate that. Whenever I see "Mr. Bush", I know it's probably a hit job.

Every rag calls him Mr. Bush, while we never saw that under Clinton when he was Prez this, prez that, every 2 min on CNN
What is wrong with people?
Don't they understand welfare is lip service if you have no military, no business and letting muslim churches acquire WMDs? What would they say if the Vatican acquired nukes? They act like the Christians are the evil ones and completely forget the reality of the situation with Islam. What utter folly.

The one thing that always comes to mind with stories like this is the attack on Lybia back in the mid 1980's.
I vividly remember watching the news as rumors swirled about the possibility of U.S. military action following a terrorist bombing at a club in Germany that killed scores of U.S. troops. Anyway, the news had a clip from the press secretary saying pretty much the same things as the above article, denying the rumors of any planned military action.
Within 24 hours USAF F-111's and U.S. Navy warplanes were in action over Lybia.
These denials mean nothing ... maybe we will do something, maybe we won't, but regardless, we will deny.

A few months ago I saw a headline at msn.com that said: President Clinton blah blah blah George Bush.
No liberal bias there, none at all.

Mr Bush confirmed a report in Fridays Washington Post that he had authorised US troops to shoot and kill Iranian operatives in Iraq, but denied this was a prelude to stronger action.
Too bad, still this doesn't mean it ISN'T coming!!!
