Just heard via Fox News Alert that additional charges have been levied against Nifong. Charges are that he failed to disclose and/or hid the DNA evidence (that exonerated the 3 players charged).

"And they deny that Nifong did anything intentionally unethical." Nifong"s defense is oh so like a Democrat!! Bill Clinton didn't intend to hurt his wife and daughter, so he gets a pass.

Was it you or Howlin that was telling us Nifong's world was going to cave in (via the NC Bar Assn) several months ago? From the beginning, I've had faith that this was how it would all shake out. And I think I said so early, on. Lol, whatever I said is on record here and at other blogs and boards. This isn't to say my faith hasn't been shaken or that I've been worried from time to time. And that it's taken much too long to get to where we are today.

"What on earth will his attorneys submit in his defense?"
That he's had a spotless record until now. That's all they've got. They can't plead ignorance of the law because the cover-up lies demonstrate Mikey's consciousness of guilt. All they can do is grovel for mercy. The presence of the cameras will ensure he gets little or none. This bar has stumbled in its oversight responsibilities too long. The legislature is breathing down their necks. If they want to remain relevant and help the DAs hang onto their power scam, which enures to their benefit as well, they will take Mikey down - remove him from office by disbarring him. In essence, they will undo what the racist black Durhamites voted to do.

While I concur about "bubba justice", if you think Nifong's criminality is non-violent, you're completely missing the fact that he has the complete violence of the State behind him.
The State brings more violence to bear than the Bloods, the Crips, the Hells Angels, etc. And in this case, that violence is being used about as justly.
So the idea that Nifong's transgressions are somehow "non-violent" simply because he does them with the imprimateur of the State, is just badly mistaken. Everything he does, is with the implicit violence of every policeman in the country behind it.

If the races were reversed, would they charge a black woman for fabricating accusations against a white man?
I doubt it.

Very much on point. More people have been killed by their own governments than in all the wars in history. The Cambodian Killing Fields, Stalin's purges and Mao's Cultural Revolution come to mind...

She's never apologized publicly that I'm aware of, but she did admit she was wrong. But because of that, she deserved to be talked over by Megyn, although she didn't look happy about it. Go, Megyn! Megyn saw this for what this was from the git-go, so she's got more street cred and is more deserving of face time on the subject than Kimberly is.
I notice Ted hasn't been around at all lately on Greta's show.
Anybody know if disGrace has said ANYTHING about Nifong's predicament or the disastrous condition of his so-called "case"? She needs to come to Jesus on this, as does that pit viper, Murphy, and the moron, Goslee.

In which forum has Nifong perjured himself?

NC Bar must do this; and they must be thorough. If not, every single case brought about by any DA in NC will be held to an onslaught of protest, IMO.
This is very serious.

From article:
The new charges added to a previous ethics complaint accusing Mr. Nifong of making false and prejudicial remarks about the case to the news media. And the Group of 88?

With normal women there may be something to an argument like Murphy's that "most" women do not lie about rape--wowmen with the normal social values and barriers about sex. But with the Durham case this woman had no barriers--she performed with dildos, she had sex with her female partner for the show, they stuck a swab up her rectum and ulled out the DNA of five to seven men, etc. She has none of the things that normally define a member of our society.

"And they deny that Nifong did anything intentionally unethical."As Rush would say, "It's all about the seriousness of the charge." In the case of Repubs that is. In the case of Dems? Well the plan here is to delay, delay, in hopes the public just forgets so they can only slap Nifong on the wrist a little. Will the people stand for it this time? We will see. My guess is he gets little or nothing in the way of punishment.

"He's devastated," Freedman said. "It's very upsetting to be attacked by, it's like he's public enemy number one."
"I have asked him if he had to do it all over again, would be bring the charges and he says yes, because he believes indeed this occurred. So he may regret some of the things he said," Freedman said.
Peculiar statements, from a previous attacker.
"Well, that everything has been mishandled from the start. You had a district attorney coming out and making potentially unethical statements, saying he believed a crime occurred, which he should not do. He should not be commenting on the evidence. He took an adversarial position from the start."
Freedman, April 19, "The Abrams Report"
WTF?
So Freedman is saying the same thing he previously said should not be done?

Nah - she's been warned.
And, actually, you may not have followed things closely enough to know, but there was a murder in Durham for which Michael Peterson was convicted of killing his wife. His claim was that she fell down the stairs. The prosecutors? Jim Hardin who was Nifong's predecessor and Freda Black who was his opponent in the primary. It was that prominent case that made Black likely to win the primary until Nifong pulled his little stunt.

College asks students in fight to move out
GREENSBORO - Guilford College has asked five students involved in a weekend fight that some have labeled a hate crime to move off campus while police and school officials investigate.
The students, three Guilford football players and two Palestinian students that the players are accused of attacking, will still be allowed to attend class and study in the college library, said Guilford President Kent Chabotar. A third Palestinian student, who attends college in Raleigh and was visiting friends at Guilford, has also said he was assaulted during Saturday's altercation.
Chabotar announced the school's request at an emotional forum held Wednesday evening near campus, and stressed the college was still working to figure out what happened.
"I'm saying we need to get the truth," Chabotar said, adding that administrators were hearing "a core of things that are very consistent" about the fight.
Authorities have charged Michael Bates, 19, of Reidsville; Michael Robert Six, 20, of Clemmons; and Christopher Barnette, 21, of Semora, with misdemeanor assault and ethnic intimidation, according to court documents. They were released Monday on $2,000 bail.
The documents state that the three players taunted Guilford students Faris Khader and Osama Sabbah, and N.C. State University student Omar Awartani, with racial slurs and called them "terrorists" as they assaulted them with their fists and feet.
Arrest warrants said Bates and Six used brass knuckles.
