Actually, I believe we have won the Iraq war. When Sadamn was chased into hiding and his regime fell, the Iraq war was over. GW announced that moment with 'mission accomplished' aboard a boat.

Then came the 'keeping the peace' phase of the reconstruction of Iraq. Here we are not doing too well.....
