Muslims Want Mosque in Football Stadium

Yet another demand from Muslims for special treatmentspecial treatment that would be denied to any other religious group: Seeking timeout for prayer. (Hat tip: Ethel.)
|
As the Ohio State Buckeyes pummeled the Northwestern Wildcats on Ryan Field last November, senior Amir Siddiqui and his friends slipped below the bleachers, removed their shoes and knelt on pieces of poster board to pray.
As the sea of purple cheered and jeered above, Siddiqui tuned out the world around him to perform salaat, the Islamic ritual prayer that faithful Muslims recite five times daily.
Siddiqui will do the same in Welsh-Ryan Arena next week when the Buckeyes basketball team goes up against the Wildcats. But rather than pray amid raucous crowds, some Muslim students are pressing Northwesterns athletic department to set aside a secluded space for the ritual, or grant them permission to come and go from the arena before the buzzer.
If we attend the game in its entirety, we would miss one of our five daily prayers, said Siddiqui, president of the Muslim cultural Student Association. I can leave the game early, come later, or pray somewhere in the stadium on dirty floors with lots of noise and lots of people around, which isnt a huge problem. But wed love to have a small area.

If they want a mosque, let then return to their ancestral hell hole countries and enjoy the mosques in the stadiums there. If you don't like the way we do things here, leave.I think the sounds of burqa clad wimin being shot in the head interferes with their 'prayer'...

They can have this if I can get some decent, inexpensive stadium food and clean restrooms first.
They'll have a loooooong wait.

And smoker's would prefer a small area out of the weather. Breastfeeding moms would prefer any place but a hot, stinky public bathroom stall.
Deal with it. IMHO, of course.

maybe osu should get a "touchdown mohammed". What a great idea. Just picture a mascot Mo running around the end zone ululating and waving a scimitar and yelling death to the infidel (opposing team name here)! We could wipe out half of the Islamic world in one blow as heads explode all over the planet in a gigantic apoplectic rage.

Would Amir be honked off if he knew the Nothwestern Wildcats were previously known as The Fighting Methodists?

You are sooo right on! That dam will break and from their actions. When it does, there won't be a safe haven anywhere in America
To: SmoothTalker
Give it a hundred years and you'll see this in every bar, resturuant, and public gethering spot in the west. Bars won't exist.

If it is so important for them to pray five times a day, then it wouldn't matter where they prayed, just so long as they were able to pray.

And when they get the ball banned too because it's made of PIGSKIN guess they'll expect the players to spend 90 minutes in a game of touch-tag or leapfrog.
Easiest and most sensible thing to do is ban the muzzies, period.
To: jdm
Do it before you come to the game.

maybe osu should get a "touchdown mohammed". In his upraised arms would be a severed head and a butcher knife.

I say we agree with their demands on one condition. The rest of us get to play "turban twister" and/or "wack a mullah" during the same timeout.
