Yet another demand from Muslims for special treatmentspecial treatment that would be denied to any other religious group: Seeking timeout for prayer. (Hat tip: Ethel.)
|
As the Ohio State Buckeyes pummeled the Northwestern Wildcats on Ryan Field last November, senior Amir Siddiqui and his friends slipped below the bleachers, removed their shoes and knelt on pieces of poster board to pray.
As the sea of purple cheered and jeered above, Siddiqui tuned out the world around him to perform salaat, the Islamic ritual prayer that faithful Muslims recite five times daily.
Siddiqui will do the same in Welsh-Ryan Arena next week when the Buckeyes basketball team goes up against the Wildcats. But rather than pray amid raucous crowds, some Muslim students are pressing Northwesterns athletic department to set aside a secluded space for the ritual, or grant them permission to come and go from the arena before the buzzer.
If we attend the game in its entirety, we would miss one of our five daily prayers, said Siddiqui, president of the Muslim cultural Student Association. I can leave the game early, come later, or pray somewhere in the stadium on dirty floors with lots of noise and lots of people around, which isnt a huge problem. But wed love to have a small area.

If we attend the game in its entirety, we would miss one of our five daily prayers, Well, if it's that important, stay home!

"Wouldn't there be alcohol and pork in the stadium?"
The Muslim demand to have those removed will come later.

F--- these Islamic bastards. Send them back to the third world. This is America. Right on!!!!!!!!! I couldn't have said it better myself!

Actually, I would appreciate it if my pastor would broadcast NFL games on the overhead screen during his sermons.
With the volume down, of course.

Their demands and antics will be their undoing. And when the dam breaks, oh boy. You said it. Even the more tolerant types up my way are getting sick of this crap, and that's saying something. Me, my tolerance ran out long ago, namely on 9-11.

They want to change our culture. They are missionaries seeking to convert the kufir.
We've seen it before. Historians wag a finger at the West for doing it. Now that it is happening to us we are told we should embrace it. But it is an intolerant ideology. Islamic nations are not so accepting of prosthelyzing of non-muslim faiths, conversion of muslims to other faiths, or the rights and protections of non-muslims (who are considered sub-human under the law).

Ever hear a muslim speak out against the discrimination in Saudi Arabia (Jews are prohibited from entering the country, visiting Christians cannot bring a personal Bible with them) or Mecca (which prohibits all non-muslims)?
They pray to it 5 times a day, but it doesn't seem to weigh on their minds.
Why yield to Islamic supremacists?

Rush discussing it now...keep a sharp eye, it'll happen. Says that the pols will see the Muslims as a new voting block. Of course, then with Ears as our next president...I shudder to think about our future.

I'm all for it!
Get 'em used to being herded together in special places for their "prayers."
It'll help us round them all up the day after the next 9/11.

The only way to stop this madness is every time the muslims want a prayer area, every religion in the US should also demand a prayer room specifically for their religion. Let the airports, hotels or any damn place they want muzzie rooms, ponder how much it will affect their bottom line. If any religion is denied the same courtesy, sue their asses for discrimination. Hit 'em where it hurts- their bottom line.
Maybe then, we'll have a chance to put the skids on their demanding and receiving special rights.

If those who own/run the stadium give in to the demand, all good Americans should boycott all games/events played there.
It would only take one empty stadium (and the loss of thousands$$$) for the muzzies to lose this one.

As long as I can go in there at any time, too, and take advantage of my 1st amendment rights. While they are quietly praying, my friends and I could talk about the game and have a few beers. Eat some pork sausage. Maybe fart a bit. It's public property.
If they want exclusive use, that would be a big NO.
