Apparently Russia is serious about ditching the old USSR. While dangerous, as modern Russia will not be hampered by economic and ideological idiocies of Marxism-Leninism, the lack of those same ideologies mean that the modern USSR is a nation that can be ...worked with.
Note that I said "can be worked with". I don't mean that the Russia should be trusted very far...
