Sign the partial-birth abortion ban. Appoint pro-life (or at least anti-Roe) judges. Promote a pro-life position from the bully pulpit.

Even if that accurately described my ultimate goal, how could that happen without overturning Roe? How can Roe be overturned by electing a president who believes that Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a good choice for the Supreme Court (yes, Mr. Giuliani actually said that, right after saying that Mr. Roberts was a good choice)?

President Bush, put in place the Mexico City Policy (which bans govt funds to promote abortion overseas), the abortion ban at military hospitals, the partial-birth abortion ban, and reaffirmed the Hyde Amendement (which bars the use of medicaid funds for abortions).

The real reason why abortion rates declined was not anything Clinton did. It was due to extensive grass root lobbying by Right to Life groups to pass Parental Consent, 24 waiting laws, barring tax funded abortions and other restrictions on the state level. When these restrictions are enforced, the abortion rate decreases.

After if these restrictions are so minor, then why would pro-abort groups spend millions to shoot down the parental notification ballot in CA last year?

Nice straw man there. First, since when does saying "someone who is a pro-choicer isn't a pro-lifer" mean one has made abortion the number one issue in the campaign? Second, why would anyone want to vote for a guy who thinks it's OK to rip the limbs off a small child as an "answer" to social problems?

I thought you wanted it to go back to the States anyway.

That will require justices who are strict constructionists. Don't look for any such justices from Rudy or the more likely winners if he is the nominee, Hillary or Obama. And since pro-choice justices tend to be freedom-stealing lib justices, you should be in favor of getting a couple of Alito clones during the next term if you're a real conservative.

Planned Parenthood is scared to death of George Bush. Here's a list they put out just for the first term. If the President doesn't have anything to do with abortion, why does this stuff worry them?
