US MARINE IRAQ VETERAN TO CARRY US FLAG
ACROSS NEW JERSEY TO BOOST MORALE OF TROOPS
WHO: USMC Sergeant Craig M. Breiner, 30 of Howell, NJ
Contact at (908) 415-1640 (available for pre-event interview)
WHAT: Carry the US Flag across New Jersey from Belmar Boardwalk to Trenton State House to garner support for U.S. troops protecting our freedom around the world.
WHEN: Saturday, January 20th
START: 6:00 AM at the 16 Avenue Boardwalk, Belmar
FINISH: 7:00 PM at the State House, 125 West State Street, Trenton
The walk is rain or shine and proceeds down 16 Ave. (Belmar Blvd) to Route 34 North to Route 33 West across the state and to the State House.
WHY: Sgt. Breiner with 7 years service in the Corps is currently an in-active reserve member who has spent seven months in Iraq in 2004 through 2005 serving with the 3rd LAR (Wolf Pack) and the 31 MUE (Task Force NAHA). He offers the following, We need to bring the morale of our troops up. Everything you see on television and in the news is negative. Its time we give these men and women credit. Schools, hospitals, and infrastructure projects are being built. But, you rarely see these positive stories being reported. The Iraqi people who suffered terrible torture and had loved ones killed by the former ruling party, thanked us for giving them the opportunity to have a better life. I hope that people will thank a veteran and remember all the good that goes unreported concerning our military.
Sgt. Breiner welcomes Veterans and anyone interested in showing their support to partake in the march and a non-denomination prayer service upon completion. Media are invited to travel along with Sgt. Breiner.
This is my first chance to get to a computer today. I saw the link to the press photographer's photos but I'd also love to see any that you took if you can figure out how to post them!

[keep it not too big!]
If you right-click on any photo, like the one below, you will see a drop-down menu that includes the "properties" and dimensions of that photo - click on "properties" and then you can copy and paste the url and the numbers. You can keep "previewing" your picture post at various dimensions (height, width) until it looks right to you before you post it!
Thanks....I'll try it...I printed out those instructions. I'll play around with it.
Ahem ... This story is not "fit to print" in the NYTwit Times.
