President Bush met with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon in the Oval Office today.

President Bush also welcomed the World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals to the White House this afternoon.

Vice President Cheney was at the Pentagon speaking at the naming ceremony of the USS Gerald R Ford.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice continues her travels and meetings in the mid-east.

First Lady Laura Bush continues her three-day visit to France, touring a number of landmarks in Paris.

President Bush declares today 'Religious Freedom Day'

President Bush has proclaimed today (Tuesday January 16th) as "Religious Freedom Day." In the presidential proclamation, Bush said today commemorates the passage of the 1786 Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, which was written by Thomas Jefferson, and to celebrate the First Amendment's protection of the right to worship freely.

The proclamation notes that people in other parts of the world don't enjoy the same liberty, and many face religious persecution. Bush calls the freedom of worship" a gift from the Almighty", and he says the United States, quote, "Must continue to promote the importance of religious freedom at home and abroad."

LOL -- I put most captions underneath. I snag them and try to put them in order. Like today, I am good to go right now, just waitong on the clock, so I don't take heat for posting too early. :0)

I'm not happy with any of today's photos to deem one photo of the day, so I am searching for a favorite or I will just omit photo of the day.

Frankly, I just saw that information about kristinn.

I just want to go on record as saying that I am stunned by that.

As long as I have been here, NOBODY has slammed kristinn about the work he has done. I am sure I speak for a lot of people here when I say that his actions pretty much are beyond reproach.

I am speechless at Sean's actions.

Thanks for the tips Gretchen. I'm sure as the weeks fly by I'll be a lot calmer when I post the Dose. ;*)

I missed this whole thing.

What I know is that Sean gave Traitor Sheehan an hour of air time, didn't question her patriotism, invited her back 'any time.' DISGUSTING!

And I know that kristinn was hung up on when talking about the Gold Star families that went to Iraq, and that no representative has been asked on to Sean's show. Even worse!

That, all by itself, is bad enough...........but is there more?

This is REALLY important to me, even though I stopped listening to Sean a while ago because of his incessant attacks on the Commander in Chief in time of war.

Can someone fill me in?

I have recently spoken with two Gold Star Family members that have tried to get on Sean's show.

One has the private number that gets you through, but then is hung up on. Another has "begged" to go on his show, but has never been invited or put through when calling in.

However, the media creation that is sheehan, was given a 3-part series on Sean's show. It is pathetic.

Just seen your post when searching for photos on yahoo go to advance search preference and select sort by date that will mean when new photos are added they are still in date order as sometimes new ones are all over the place.

I do the same or I edit the sentance it sometimes helps to know what to put. I have also noticed on several photos you will have different captions though in essence it is the same thing. I usually then pick the best description. I just find it helps to use the captions as a guideline but sometimes they are wrong so you have to watch it as sometimes they identify events or people incorrectly though they normally quickly issue a correction.

Hi snugs, It gets easier... I have a routine now that's seems to work well. I start grabbing photos in the morning and that way they're almost all in chronological order.

Because I am at work I do not get that opportunity but when I have been off work yes that is a great help to grab things as they come through. Even the 5 hours difference means there are a lot of photos already up by the time I get home and have eaten.
