FYI - if you looked up a little about this guy, you'd see another reason for him to be po'd...

He was in the North Tower on the 81st floor when it was struck - he and a coworker helped a woman in a wheelchair down 68 floors.

Oop - just caught one possible error - same name, same employer - but the stories differ on age....

So it **could** be the same guy....

I understand why he is po'd, but to send a message to airlines that you can't kick off people who act suspiciously sends a message to terrorists that it is once again open season on airlines.

I can understand him being ticked but unless you're Bill Gates missing a plane *cant* cost you nearly that much..

So what? I don't see what that has to do with anything.

Good find. The guy put his life on the line to help someone else; I don;t think he needs or deserves shabby treatment from an airline.

Irrelevant.

I see this as a first amendment freedom of association issue. An airline ticket is a private contract between the airline and the individual. The airline agrees to provide a service (the flight) to an individual, subject to government regulations and the disclaimers of the airline. Just as other retailers reserve the right to refuse service, the airline should have the same right.

In the worst case, damages should be limited to 3 times actual damages (the price of the ticket). This is the same 3 times limit that applies when someone willfully defrauds another.
