I wish I had my photos of Paris and London uploaded to post. I took most of mine on my trusty 35mm. I do have many on digital of the south of France that I emailed to friends.

I did spent time in the Gardens in London and found this. Very odd. Is this a common tree in the UK? LOL

It looks to me as if the trunk is damaged or diseased to me apart from that the size is very normal but not sure what tree it is I am not very knowledgeable regarding trees.
