After I replied to yours, I called my phone service provider to ask if I get charged for sending text messages. No, he said. I asked, What if they are sent to England? No charge, he said. WooHoo! (He also said that overseas text msgs don't always go through.) You were very clever to think of it.

I suppose because text messaging is so popular in Britain it was natural to try that even if I am not that up to speed with all the jargon that the youngsters are but coming from the telex era helps as a lot of slang is similar.
