God is not about to let Christianity cave in. He is going to test us until we rise up and be the men and women of God (and this may just be a remnant) that He intends us to be. It ain't over yet. Don't be so negative about it. God's yet to have HIS say.

I can understand why Rabbi Lapin is concerned, but the mere existence of those books means nothing. I would guess that, taking all those titles together, their sales are in the low single thousands, and the publishers will lose money on each one, when the returns come in.

How do they make up the losses? Well, it's simple. You see, there's no copyright on one book that's always in demand by those creepy Christianists.

(Also available in the lighter but equally revered Jewish version, approved by rabbis and 100% Gospel-free).

I have just completed Leon Uris' book, "THE HAJ." There is a brilliant passage at the end explaining a fundamental difference between Muslim and Jewish culture. Jews love their people. Muslims are so entrenched in hatred they are incapable of expressing love.
I was left with the sudden, clear understanding that salvation for Muslims will come not through Christianity but through Judaism. The very hatred of the Jews by Muslims is fratricidal. Muslim culture will, finally, be drawn into fellowship with their brothers of the Book.

There will come a day when the true Christians will stand head and shoulders above those you describe. It may mean disastrous things happening to America, either by attacks from the enemy or natural disasters like Katrina, etc., but it will happen and then the world will see who's real and who isn't. They will want to know how we can have peace when everything else is falling apart. I believe that time is coming. So, fellow believers, we have to press into God NOW and obey His commands so we will be found worthy during these tumultuous times.

I tried to find a song in the new hymnal that I could sing at a funeral (was asked to sing when I came in) and I looked through it and was astounded that I couldn't really find anything I knew. I don't even think they have Onward Christian Soldiers in it anymore. bye bye Methodists...

Only GOD can save America, ZC. He may use Christians and Jews to do his bidding, but he, ultimately, is in control, not us.

Exactly! Poor folks don't have a clue what's gonna happen when persecution really comes. Christianity will grow faster than it ever has.

ping...people just don't get it, 75% of the people in the world are sheep/followers/stay behind closed doors/don't make waves/ignore it and it will go away/don't think just do nothing etc....The "new evangelicalism" is leading the way down the pied piper's primrose path and ushering in the Big Wave of hate speech against old time Christianity, ie the religious right, which they sneer and sneer at. The New Evangelicals will be a big part of the problem bellflower. They will just move out of the way as fellow Christians are persecuted and ridiculed down the road. Wait a minute, they lead the way behind their church doors and steeples which were stolen anyways under the guise of change and doing away with the old timers. Many, many Christians have been displaced and kicked out of their churches all over the country/world under the user friendly/purpose driven movement/emergent church/new evangelicalism. This user friendly movement is callus and mean spirited and unloving towards anyone that disagrees with their agenda. They ridicule anyone that doesn't see it their way and they call themselves Christians to boot. Oh, yea and this new group of evangelicals they will not be conservative voters. Mark my word. They will vote green/enviromental/choice etc. The conservative republican party will no longer exist as a viable party next time around. The take over is almost complete. Only thing left is prayer which is really the only thing that will do any real good anyways. I HOPE I AM WRONG about this analysis of the conservative movement and the soon to come serious persecution of Christian(ity) in America.

Do you know how many Jews in the USA are Orthodox?

The Rabbi is.

Anyway, this is just one article from a prolific writer and talk show host that is directed to conservative Christians from a friend of conservative Christians. Specifically he examines this current threat: "There is no better term than propaganda blitzkrieg to describe what has been unleashed against Christian conservatives recently."

The remark "When it comes to people cutting their own throats, I say take the beam out of your eye, Rabbi." was not called for. The article was not an analysis of people "cutting their own throats" but of a serious threat to friends.

"Onward, Christian Soldiers" is Hymn #575 in the 1989 version of The United Methodist Hymnal, which is currently in use. Back in the 1980's, traditionalist Methodists had to fight to keep this tune in the hymnal. You may be interested to know that the hymn was written in 1871 by Arthur S. Sullivan, who teamed up with William S. Gilbert to produce the "Gilbert & Sullivan" musical shows.

Tax-Chick might be having a bad day.

To all the doomsayers out there, it is darkest just before the dawn. Also, we have all been under the propaganda for so long that we can become gloomier than need be.

The islamofascists have their weaknesses also. Many of them. About 16,000 of them convert to Christianity every day. I bet they really hate that.

To everyone, near the end of each day, think of three things that you accomplished during that day. Today I topped off a tree, got the Christmas tree outside and cut up, took my wife to lunch. Sometimes you can count just getting out of bed as an accomplishment. It does not matter what you count just as long as it is an accomplishment for you. It is a constructive way to approach life.
And... Remember to thank God for your time on this earth.

As I see the growth of islam in the world and the life style of these people, I am very afraid. I fear for my children and grandchildren. The ignorance and barbarism of this cult makes me sick at the stomach. Allah is NOT the Christian and Jewish God!

Look at the web site: http://www.thereligionofpeace.com

No one is safe from them and we must publicly state their agenda. How the politician, Keith Ellison is used by them is ridiculous. Does he not hear how the Arab moslems are slaughtering the moslem black Africans in Darfur in the Sudan? How any person of color would embrace that murderous cult is hard for me to understand. Their founder was a murderer, liar, thief and sexual pervert.

It has been my experience to note that some of the most outspoken people against Christianity are the gays. True Christianity won’t condone their sinful ways, so the gays will do all in their power to discredit it, unless they can mold it to their lifestyle, so as to gain respectability. People, like Rosie O’Donnell, would not have the guts to attempt to discredit islam on a public forum, let alone walk down a street under sharia law.

What really creeps me out is the similiarity between the nazi demonization of the Jews and the anti-Christian nonsense that the good rabbi is talking about.

To paraphrase Peter Brimelow, the Jews were murdered verbally long before they were murdered physically.

The authors of these antichrist screeds are nothing more than verbal murderers.

"Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."

There is hope.

Read Updated Briefing!
Strategic Trends 2004 (Part 4)
by Chuck Missler http://www.khouse.org/articles/2004/530/
especially Trend # 10 - America's Challenge! I believe that God is not finished with America yet. I hope and believe that His plans are to use America some more but it is very important that His people get real serious with Him and become much more spiritually minded and consecrated unto Him. The blessings will follow.

I enjoy listening to "Grandpa Chuck" at night. My computer is in the dining room and as I work around the house and take care of all my animals I listen to his program on the main page www.khouse.org if you scroll down you will find it. Also go into the blueletter bible on the left hand side and you can listen to him on video/audio too. Lots of free stuff on his sites including study aids for Bible study.

I understand the connections between Christian belief and American culture.

The writer makes many salient points. I agree with most of what he writes. Christianity is under attack and it is our fault for not evangelizing more agressively and for not living holy lives. It is too easy to say, "I'm sorry God, please forgive me," without making any real heart change and being absolutely sorry and remorseful over our sin. Grace is freely given but we make it cheap.

Nevertheless, I canNOT agree with this statement, "Once the voice of the Bible has been silenced,..." The writer, assuredly not understanding the teaching of Jesus on this point, assumes that God is dependent on His people for praises. Not so! Even if I were silent, the rocks would cry out and give witness that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God, the Father. The Word will never be silenced. It will ring through, as It has, through the ages and into eternity.

The question is, will God use me to spread His Word or will He use some other agent?

There is hope, but it's not rational hope.

Let me inject an encouraging word.

Today, millions of American children are bypassing the statist indoctrination camps, the compulsory tax-funded "de-education centers." History is never shaped by majorities, but rather by energetic and creative minorities. Who will occupy the positions of influence in the coming generations? The enslaved-enforcers, the janissaries of the "talented and gifted" programs? Or people raised in home schooling families to worship a transcendent God, and look askance at the claims of the self-deifying state? Starting with the State's assumption that it can confiscate 30 hours a week of their lives?

Many of us are betting on, and investing in, the Christian education of our children.
