I believe Howlin was referring to Officer Shelton who in the Kroger lot said something about someone going by and checking on the "young uns?" Is that right?

I know that particular comment has sparked much interest about how familiar the law was with Mangum and her kids or if she was somehow highly connected.

Funny, I feel that I have recently reread that in just the last day or so, but not on FR. Probably on a DIW or LS link. Lord, it could really be anywhere, I have been all over the web lately, and I haven't bookmarked these things the way I used to in the past. It is a curious thing about Mangum and her familiarity with the police department. It certainly appears that someone there knew things about her from earlier than just this incident.

I googled and found these. I know it's not exactly what we're looking for, but it may help us to get there quicker. Some of the first few are pretty decent links. After that, they aren't relevant at all.
