Comments here!
I hope not. With the lefty professors who signed that letter and the mobs from the other school, it would be a very hostile environment.

Darn! I missed that. I know all the guys I talk to were happy to hear it!
Yup, unfortunately (for him) the silver bullet went straight into his foot.
Nifong is unpardonable, but I think that he very purposefully didn't want to have Mangum 'interviewed' by his office. FWIW, because Nifong has lied over and over again in this case, I do not actually believe that he never did interview her about the facts of the case before December. I think it is pure and utter BS lies from him that he only asked her about her children, and was she on ecstasy (April 11). He is a pathological liar, and pathological liars tell more lies when they've been caught. She was too upset to talk about the case, yeah right! Maybe she was upset because he had just found out from Meehan that she had DNA from at least four other men in/on her from the rape kit.
No problem, I did not say that originally. I was here mainly for the Duke segment. I am a big fan of the president but the noise machine has drowned out any sensible understanding of what a fabulous success the War on Terror and the Iraqi theatre of operation have been.
Oh, yeah, the "gang of 88" has NOT apologized. Some have expressed their tiresome outrage that the kids were invited back - and remember Durham reelected Nifong. Make no mistake, it is still a very hostile environment.
Hannity: Mike Nifong Enemy of the Week.
I was watching Fox a little while ago...and they showed a short sound bite from Sen. Chris Dodd...POTUS candidate.
He is against sending more troops, of course...but, it was the way he said it..
He said..."send in 17,000 more BOYS to fight in Baghdad?"
He called them BOYS....ArGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Exactly on Nifong not having discussed the case with Mangum. I bet they not only talked but he got in her face.
That is good. I did not watch much. I switched over and ran into his two on two and sorry, but I don't need to hear two Dims lie.
LOL
Ahh, you said it much better (and sooner) than I!
How do you know Nifong did not interview her? Why would you believe a thing he says?
Time will tell as to whether Nifong or the City or County of Durham will be found liable to damages or agree to pay a settlement, that is, assuming the defendants even decide to sue.
As to the photo identification, I don't believe the mere fact that a photo line-up included only lacrosse players or that it did not conform to state guidelines would necessarily make it unconstitutional (although we may learn other facts about the way it was conducted that would render it unconstitutional).
I do concede that the effort by Nifong to delay revealing materially relevant DNA evidence makes a 1983 claim a much closer case.
And I am not defending the current state of the law, or hoping that the defendants do not succeed in a civil claim, I'm simply trying to evaluate the potential claims as dispassionately as possible.
WABC radio news at 10pm just played the cut of the President saying that the Iraqi people owe America a debt of gratitude.
So I've "seen.*
They're only here to HELP, you know? ;-)
Thanks, I have plenty of practice. One of my pet peeves is that Nifong is the most discreditted person in the world and the MSM even Stahl at times tonight repeat what he says without the least bit of skepticism.
Now of course the I have not interviewed her lie is being used as a club to beat him about the head. So while I understand why some might want to pretend to believe that one statement, there is no reason to really believe a thing he says.
There were two interesting facts from tonight, IMHO.
The confirmed psych history and the DNA from at least four men found not only in her vagina, but, in her rectum.
" You never said that you found DNA belonging to other men in her rectum?" Stahl asks.
"No, I did not specifically state that," Meehan says."
" 60 Minutes has learned that she has a "long psychological history" and that she had taken anti-psychotic medications like Depakote and Seroquel."
Seroquel is used to treat bipolar disorders and schizophrenia .
" Avoid drinking alcohol while taking SEROQUEL because it increases the effects of alcohol. "
" The most common side effects are .., drowsiness, sedation, dizziness, weakness,..., abdominal pain, and lethargy."
Depakote is also used to treat bipolar disorders.
It can cause abdominal pain , dizziness, weakness and serious birth defects.
The abdominal pain she described to the SANE nurse might have been a side effect of both her psych meds.
The stumbling down the stairs could have been a result of mixing all the psych drugs, the back meds, the alcohol and who knows what else.
Plus, she may have been off balance from carrying that large load of non Duke sperm in all her orifices.
Have you read the ID session transcript? A detective on it says they are running it this way at the direction of Mr. Nifong.
