"Eritrea warned the United States on Friday that its involvement in Somalia would "incur dangerous consequences" following a U.S. air strike in the Horn of Africa nation targeting al Qaeda suspects."

What an idiot. He'll be lucky if Ethiopia doesn;t decide its on a role and take him out too. Can't wait to see the Ethiopians at the Liturgy tomorrow and get the latest from their old country.

Maybe we should wipe this place off the map with one well placed MOAB.We could send in the NYPD to wipe out this country.

"The U.S. attack was criticised by the United Nations, many European countries and the Arab League."

All Three are corrupt conglomerations that seek the decline of American prosperity and power. Why dose anyone with a neuron and a half give them any credence in this country? As for Eritrea, put up or shut up.

Yet another warning …

Seems like we get these warnings every other day.

If we could bring a few of these ashats over to our country, let them see the hugh industrial/military complex that they are up against, perhaps they would revise their constant bravado about how they will whip us.

What is this ashat, or asshat? I've heard that only within the past five years, but I don't know what it means, or implies.

I never could quite see the rosy pictures of the time that portrayed the Eritreans as heroes. Granted that Ethiopia was unfortunately taken over by a Marxist tyrant, Haile Mengistu Mariam, but Eritrea was never the wonderful band of brothers that the American press portrayed at the time.

I'm thinking of books like this one by Thomas Kenneally, the author of Schindler's list:

I once met Kenneally and had lunch with him, not long after this book came out. He seemed like a nice guy, but hopelessly naive.

Well, I guess that figures. But I prefer, given in a foreign accent, "I kick all your asses."

I think I spotted the flaw in this article:

"Eritrea warned the United States on Friday..."

To be more specific:

A person, of either gender, whose behavior displays such ignorance/obnoxiousness that you would like to make them wear their own ass as a hat.

Head up ass type of image.

How do you figure that would help? The Palestiniacs are QED that it wouldn't matter one iota. Second QED would be those opposing forces of U.S. military might in Iraq. Are those opposing forces better or worse off, in general, than Eritrea?

I had to google Eritrea. Its a tiny country that has been at war with its neighbor, Ethiopia for 30 years, and also has continual skirmishes (artillery exchanges) with its other neighbor, Sudan.
It has 9 ethnic groups, two religions: islam and christianity, and three working languages (english is one of them).

Its a tiny little country and its littered with fields of undiscovered landmines from nearly 60 years of war.

Amazingly its supposed to be a democracy, but its president declare martial law years ago...so its classified by those who know as a military dictatorship.

I'd like to see shred of evidence that Eritrea has ever had a close or significant relationship with the US.

This is typical unsubtantiated media sping against the US.
