You are so right! I imagine the pervert told him that if he got away people will be ashamed of you and point fingers at you and blame you. A child living in Shame like that runs so deep. You could see it on Shawn's face yesterday on Oprah.
As I told you in private what happens to these boys when sexually assaulted, they start to see that this is their fault and the same and ebarressment sets in.

Basiclly in cases like this "fear" comes first. Perp tells the young child I will kill you and/or your family if you try to escape or the perp actually brings the child close to death.
Then comes "shame" - Perp tells the child no one will want you after what I have done to you, no one will understand and they will blame you. In this case he probably told Shawn he (Shawn) was a "fag" now. The perp will tell the boy he is no different than him (the perp) now.

very normal! I really hope that Shawn will learn and adjust to being back under his parents roof after the lack of discipline he has had for 4 years. I really hope he doesn't rebel and that he realizes his parents are trying to help him become a normal kid again.
