who knows, but I won't forget BOR on this! For the longest time I have gone up and down about BOR, but after this I'm done with him.
I'm with you. I haven't watched BOR for years. His "bloviating" turns me off and half the time he's just plain stupid.
right, he was spinning. Saying I don't buy the Stockholm Syndrome, and than saying he was just asking questions. That is a lie, he wasn't asking questions when he said he doesn't buy Stockholm Syndrome. However, I don't think Shawn had Stockholm Sydrome as I think he was just afraid of Devil and never fleed because of him, not because he wanted to stay with him.
That might be one way to put it, but another way would be if he has done other such crimes and we learn about them, at least their families would finally know something after all these years, so that would be a good thing compared to what they've endured.
Yet, I can see how how he's trying to sound prescient...an "I knew it...I told you so" if and when more cases come to light.
But it's goofy, the way he stated it, then realizing it sounded bad and was open to all kinds of interpretation, so he throws in the, well, EXCEPT for putting the perp away and the safe return of the boys...

BOR is the very worst of sensationalist journalism. He is no different than Geraldo.
No he would rather they tell it to him (BOR)...I understand that BOR is broadcasting his radio show from St Louis this morning.
BOR was claiming that Shawn had wanted to be living with Devlin......because of BOR's vast experience as a high school teacher.
Pfui. No one ought to watch or listen to his programs.
I don't care for Oprah, and I haven't watched her show since the President appeared on Oprah in 2000. I will watch it today.
Shawns parents will be on Larry King on Friday. I read that the parents are only doing interviews this week until Friday. If something is seen after Friday, it would have been taped before Friday.
Someone from the audience of Oprah, who was interviewed on the news, said that when Shawn hugged one of the officers who found him, Shawn hugged him so tight and long, they did not think he would let go. It is said (local news) that Shawn has been working very closely with this particular officer and that they have developed a good bond and Shawn is key witness to other things but no details, of course.

I listen to some people while I find plenty wrong with them, mostly for information. Hannity and Rush and Glenn Beck are radio examples, and Greta, Larry King and Nancy Grace are other TV examples. Not all the time, but at times when I'm following certain stories. I'm under no illusions.
I'm a 24 hour caregiver to my mom who has Dementia, and I'm on the Net spasmodically. I leave my radio and tvs on a lot to hear what I can at home and in the car.
What, does he intend to tower over the prosecutor and threaten him? He ought to keep himself out of this story, period.
He ought to have enough sense to know that LE has to be very careful about releasing details on the case, so the case isn't endangered. I was willing to chalk up BOR's behavoir to tabloidism, now if he is in St. Louis, I'm beginning to think it is more sinister.
"a way to separate himself from the crowd." Exactly! BOR likes to fancy himself the "John McCain" of pundits. He thinks he is soooooo above all those "partisan" commentators. Often times, he will go against the grain because he thinks that makes him look good. Sometimes it does -- this time he just looks like a "pinhead."
me too although i never watched him before i sent 2 emails and on the boarrds on court tv, they are in a huff about it also.
I think this kid is going to be okay. He has a huge support group and some good people. His family may not be fancy, but they are the salt of the earth. I simply adore the pop. Craig, he is the man
I believe BOR did not have his "team" do the proper research on this story when it first broke and perhaps touted off his big mouth too soon. After the emails he rec'd, too late for him, he realized how big this is and can still get. He is now trying to capitilize on it. It is all about ratings. I refuse to watch his show forever more.
I know so little about Oprah, I don't even know when she comes on or what network carries her. I need some information. I'll try to watch if my circumstances allow.
Oprah's show is syndicated. So every market airs her at a different time and perhaps station. You need to check local listings.

Shawn did post the message on the parents message board. Craig says that they did see the message but did not think anything of it because kids were posting pretending to be Shawn all the time. Read more about the interview and view pics:
