I think it is a good way to save money. I am on the State Department email list for news releases and all they do is travel around the world. I bet the cost of the their travel alone could fund the surge.
I was thinking the very same thing. If they wanted to put in an austerity program and reduce federal spending and conserve petroleum resources and stop the GWarming word, they could just limit their own damn junkets and air travel.
