"Do people want energy independence or not? And energy which shall be available at a reasonable price."
and have you thought about the implications of your policy of "energy independence"??
If the US was not sucking up vast amounts of oil from Venezuela and the Middle East, those volumes would be flowing into China and India at marginal prices. This would reduce the incentive for developing nations to reduce/eliminate the direct subsidies they pay for oil: Those subsidies lower production & living costs and make manufactured good from there so cheap that American industry cannot compete, whether it is vastly more efficient or not.
Higher global energy (oil) prices force some reality into people's decisions both in the developed world and developing world, and the idea that the US could ever be isolated and 'independent' is a myth.
You policy of "independence" and paying next to nothing for energy would actually destroy the US economy.

Fischer-Tropsch high pressure synthesis of gasoline from coal derived syngas is an inefficient and wasteful use of US coal reserves. The Nazis only used it as a last ditch effort when the Romanian oil fields were threatened. Nuclear energy is the way to go. Wasteful in the sense if you use coal as the energy to drive the process. However if you use nuclear energy to supply the heat and pressure for the process this is a win win game. Coal to gasoline, Jet-A, and diesel with nuclear power as the energy to drive the process. Using a breeder reactor we will also generate plutonium to use in other reactors.
The United States of America is not short of energy. We have too damn many environazis, leftist and idiots that are the driving force of our policy. The environazis and idiots are simply stupid. The leftists want our nation to fall.

Good JOB!
...Now if we could just get him working for Treasury instead of the Legislature, it looks like we could REALLY use his 'talents'.
