Just breaking...no further news, no url yet
I don't know for sure. DH thinks you may be able to take it in Spanish. IIRC, you can take your reg. driver's license exam in 6 or 7 languages in MN, even use a family member as an interpreter if necessary.
I don't get it...
It seems like they just brush off lies...no big deal.
Which link was it?
Does anyone out there know how old you have to be to drive a commercial Vehicle?? If its 21 this 20 year old was not driving legally. And as far as I know it is 21.
I say sounds like ANOTHER dry run to see how we react....just like the US Airways dry run....IMO
So, let me see if I got this straight.Sounds very suspicious, I agree.
I wouldn't bet on a cover-up by the Feds. They want to be the big hero (and that's OK) and would love a chance to trumpet a big find on live TV. There's no point in covering up stuff like this.
I don't know about that......I think if we knew everything that was going on we wouldn't sleep nights.....
Someone was following someone. The "Stop" was no coincidence.
I just looked it up. The Florida State site says the minimum age is 18 for their state.
FOX News has been on it all afternoon. That story and the the excitement of possible THUNDERSTORMS *GASP* in Birmingham Alabama!!!!!!! Thats right,it might rain in Birmingham!!!!!! Alert! Alert! Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are kidding.......right?
Agree with that. I'm actually pleased to see that-- apart from all the incessant criticism about ports and borders-- these folks were doing their jobs and things swung into action pretty well. The last thing we want to do is treat them as if they're crying wolf. It's hardly their fault that the media jumps way out ahead of the facts.
How about Michigan?
It was a link on this thread to the article I told a poster about..
Another poster posted a link before I did....I clicked on it, to see if it was the same one..and when I did, the page multiplied over, and over, and it was like whack a mole trying to get the page to disappear.
It was awful..I closed down the computer when I couldn't get the page to Canadian Free Press off my screen, but, when I started it up again...that page was up and started multiplying again..
I worked forever to get the computer to close down again....I unplugged it for a while...then started it up with my fingers crossed and my eyes shut.
THIS time it was back to normal.
I was SO scared that I woudln't get back on...my husband is gone, and he is the only one that knows how to "fix" my mistakes...
I will go look it up.
I also think there is something very nefarious about all the probing actions they appear to be taking at airports and elsewhere.
Evidentally this situation (today) is resolved, but the age of the driver (20) and the fact he was driving for a company out of Michigan (an Islamic hotspot) still concerns me.
No... I'm not. If you think the Feds are just itching to cover stuff up and never show any real risk... then maybe you've seen too many movies.
Not a problem, I got lost following a Live Journal link... LOL
