Just breaking...no further news, no url yet
Although now that I think about it, if someone's going to deliver something nasty, including people, seems to me the trucking company may have a better line on what's going on that the owner of the container. Wonder if the Feds have talked to Pacer yet?
I've blown up the pictures of the container and the cab. Can't read either.
(Oops! Maybe "blown up" is great phrasing here:) )
Isn't it the Amish who also deliberately put a small flaw in their quilts because only God can be perfect...or something to that affect?
it's SEABOARD. Son just saw it on tv.
Or, are you referring to the drivers?
Around here (Wash DC area) I can't recall when in the last 25 or so years I have had anyone other than a foreign cab driver, usually Moslem, or a Christian from Ghana.
If it's the drivers, maybe what you guys ought to do is get together and demand elimination of the licensing controls on cabs that were imposed back in the days when the Socialists ran every city, town and county in the MSP/SPL region and imposed all sorts of totalitarian rules in the name of "health and safety".
If the dogs have become a problem, then rules on dogs would be in line.
Still, it's Arabs, not Islam, with a "dog" problem.
This time they caught'em red handed doing something...breaking commerce rules at least. But wouldn't be surprised if they pupu what it is they were doing...
I've wondered about Port Everglades for a long time
Our subs would come in there too
The presser will probably be a watse of time anyways...they never answer anything other than it's *an on going investigation*...
Thank you!!
So much for the guys with the goony website!
Was there a SIREN attached to that story?? LOL
However from what I have read, moderate Muslims say it is not forbidden to touch a dog or have a dog, but they should wash any body part after touching a dog, and consider it unsanitary to have a dog in the house. It is more of a ritual of purification after being licked by a dog, being considered unclean but not prohibited.
Islamic websites claim there is no condemnation of dogs in the Quran, as from one site:
It is traditional among Muslims all over the world to regard the dog as a dirty animal that when touched would void your wudu (ablution) and give you nagasah (dirty impurity!
Sadly, this concept comes from fabricated hadith which claims that the prophet ordered the killing of dogs and gave numerous hadith that prohibit the keeping of dogs except for hunting and guarding, due to their dirty status!
However, by studying the Quran we find no such claims. Nowhere in the Quran are dogs prohibited. Consequently, we must dismiss all these hadith that fabricate lies against the Prophet.
Seaboard makes sense...major trucking firm.
ROFL!!!

What a great mind you have, as I was just thinking the same thing :)
Or more lawsuit bait from CAIR.
We'll know for sure if that toad Hooper suddenly shows up on FNC.

There was some information posted by freeperfromnj (post 450) found at the Miami Herald.

"FBI spokeswoman Judy Orihuela said an Iraqi truck driver trying to get into the port was in custody after the cargo in his semi did not match what was declared on its manifest and he lied about being alone.
Federal sources said the manifest described the cargo was auto parts, but that is not what was found. Instead, authorities found two 55-gallon containers in the back of the truck."
If this report is correct there was a manifest.
