Have a great FReep tonight. Luckily we had a balmy night in D.C. last night for FReeping Queen Pelosi's Coronation.

Thanks for the ping Jim. My son had to go home yesterday, and I just had too much to take care of today at my dad's. So, we'll have to try to make it to a Rally on another trip. I will be there in spirit. Robert sent an email earlier today, and is doing well in his missions south of Baghdad. He never gives any details, but knowing he's okay is all that is important to me. Please have a great time at the Rally, and let everyone know that SoldierDad thanks them all for showing such support for our troops.

Great to hear from you ScubaChick. How are you and BabyChick doing?
Marissa had her 7th birthday in December. She is really growing. I'll bet BabyChick is getting big. How old is she now? Would sure love to see a picture. Marissa asks about her once in awhile.
When will you be coming back to California?

I hope all went well for all of you in Fresno last night. It was bitter cold down here in Los Angeles, with high winds...

Last night's rally was great. We had 10 at the rally and 9 of us went to dinner.
It was a miserable evening to be out. We didn't have high winds but we did have the bitter cold. I wore so many clothes that I could hardly move. :)
Hopefully it will not be this cold next month. Maybe you can join us soon.

Hi, dita. Yes, the rally went well, although, we got there late and so didn't have to stand out in the cold as long as the others. It's a 45 minute drive up there for us and JK usually can't leave the studio until five or so, so...we are almost always late.
Fortunately, the wind wasn't blowing much so we didn't have a wind chill factor to deal with.
I hope some day you will be able to join us, maybe for the next rally and picnic? The second Friday and Saturday in September.

I'm glad you didn't freeze so much. The wind was wild yesterday, with power outages all over SoCal.
Thank you for showing love to our troops. See above post too.
