Hey snugs - great job on The Dose again, tonight!
SuziQ - TIE ANALYSIS....I BET you W wore the polka dot tie today, out of respect for womanhood. W's Mom is big on polka dots--thus it would be a big compliment to wear something that reminds you of dear YOUNG Mom (I did that for you Barbara!). I also bet you that W likes and respects the German Chancellor, which is why he chose this tie, today.
Just MHO...

I thought so to and the way he looked at the lad and was obviously talking to him not just the cursory signing of the cast that many adults do but not really taking much notice of the child wearing it.

Did you see it live, I did 42 would not stop talking to the VP and kept patting his arm it was hilarious. I think Hilliary got fed up in the end and walked off there is a photo of the VP and 42 still talking and Hilliary walking LOL.
I got the impression from the TV footage that also the VP seemed to want to say something to 42 it may well have been to do with President Ford or the funeral as they did seem in quite deep conversation. Also the VP actually patted him on the arm as well.
