I have read that black women traditionally have smaller weighted babies. Does anyone have more info on this?

You mean to detect drugs in the mother's system? I'm not sure that they'd automatically do a drug screen on either the mother or the baby. Assuming the C-section wasn't an emergency, I would think that Cy would have at least dried her out before surgery. In any event, the results would need to be private as they have no bearing on this case.
Stand by for the paternity test.

No problem. I knew you were kidding, Freddy.

If the baby weights over six pounds we may find she lied (again) about the conception date. I'd wager she has no idea of that date.

There's never a dull moment in this case.

The dates are enough to make you dizzy. I have a feeling Crystal has no idea who the daddy is. From the DNA results they might have to test every man in the Triangle. Maybe Maury Povich can make it a season long series.
I wonder about that C-section. Partly because of the cost, they're not as routine as they used to be. So it makes me think the baby was either in distress or it's one big mamma jamma.

Greta has done an excellent job of reporting on Duke, along with a few others. O'Reilly is looking into those in media who slandered the lacrosse players unfairly and preparing a report on it.
I somewhat disagree with Greta regarding the accuser in that I see her as less of a victim.

When my grandson was born I was sitting in the waiting room listening to a DFACS worker make arrangements (nothing identifying) to put a newborn in foster care because his mama was using. She tested positive.
I am not sure if she came in whacked out or if they did a tox screen because she was known to them.
I will have to ask my son if state law requires a tox screen from mothers whose cases are active.

The taxpayers of this state.
Unfortunately.

The court-ordered paternity test will only need to establish that one of the Duke 3 is not the father, not who is the actual father.

I agree with the privacy isssues. I am just curious about the health and birth weight of the baby, and how long both will be hospitalized ... could be telling.

There are many states where it is mandatory I believe. But even though, part of her probation is drug testing so I would think that they should automatically test her and the baby

As far as the case is concerned, the negative paternity test is all that's needed. Like all, I have the natural human concern about the situation into which this child has been born.
To: Carolinamom
That is true. For full term babies, African American newborns average about 8 oz. less than American whites (7 lbs rather than 7.5 lbs).
