I agree. Unfortunately so many on campus have such a severe PC lean to the left that they would probably never report any suspicious behavior. Hopefully we have other ways to monitor than from within the university administration.
Yup, unfortunately I've come across that as well. Immediately ran virus scans.

Yep, I clear everything out, too.
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa - A man claiming to be a member of al-Qaida was arrested Monday for trying to hijack a plane on a flight from Botswana to Johannesburg, police said.
The man, whose nationality and identity were not released, was arrested on charges of attempting to hijack the Air Botswana aircraft and unlawful interference with a plane and its crew, police spokesman Senior Superintendent Vish Naidoo said.
He said the man was overpowered and taken in for questioning shortly after the plane landed at about 6:15 p.m. at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. "While passengers and crew were highly traumatized, there was no real threat to their safety," he said. Naidoo said the man had surrendered after seeing the plane surrounded and asked to speak to an officer. Chris Hlakane, manager for the Airports Company South Africa, said there were 23 passengers aboard the plane and they were being questioned by police.
The man, who was not armed, claimed to be a member of al-Qaida, he said. "He was unruly in the aircraft and tried to force his way into cockpit but was not successful. He claimed to be an al-Qaida member and claimed to have a list of demands," Hlakane said, without elaborating. Hlakane said safety and security personnel conducted an emergency evacuation of the plane and isolated it on the runway.

Did '24' Go Too Far?

COLUMN SNIPPET: "When the ABCNews.com column assignment arrived mid-morning --"Is the TV show "24" going too far by depicting a nuclear attack in Los Angeles in its opening episode?"-- the drama went out of tonight's two-hour program. Or so I thought. As zero hour approached, I found myself assuming that the program really wouldn't actually depict a nuclear detonation near Los Angeles. I noted as the show unfolded that the script had the doomsday scenario putting the casualties of such an event at somewhere north of a hundred thousand, a remarkably low estimate, and that no mention was made of the catastrophic impact of radiation sickness or the second level but still devastating impact to surrounding infrastructure, the immediate refugee problem, or the collapse of the national economy. Given that the consequences of such a blast, I found myself doubting that the program would risk absurdity by depicting a post-nuclear attack America far more simple than anyone has a right to conceive.
But blow the nuke, the writers did, and apparently there are four more where that came from."
Thanks Oorang.
I wonder if he was a lone stranger or if there are other planes ready to go?
Updates appreciated.

New Video of Al Qaeda #2 Ayman al-Zawahiri: Warning & "Deal" (with video link)
By Andrew Cochran
Laura Mansfield and Rita Katz's SITE Institute report that a new video of Ayman al-Zawahiri will be released soon. Mansfield: "The new video, entitled "The Correct Equation", features Zawahiri in dark robe and white turban against a dark background and contains English subtitles. In the video, Zawahiri specifically addresses President Bush's plan for Iraq. He also specifically addresses the American people, saying "Security is a shared destiny. If we are secure, you might be secure, and if we are safe, you might be safe. And if we are struck and killed, you will definitely - with Allah's permission - be struck and killed". The video also calls for the release of Al Qaeda members in American prisons, specifically mentioning the Blind Sheikh, Dr. Omar Abdul Rahman. The video appears timed to coincide with the State of the Union Address." SITE Institute: "Zawahiri taunts Bush, questioning: why send 20,000 only - why not send 50 or 100 thousand? Aren't you aware that the dogs of Iraq are pining for your troops' dead bodies?. He then invites the American President to send the entire American Army to Iraq as he believes the Mujahideen are capable of destroying the equivalent of ten armies."
UPDATE: Laura Mansfield has made the full tape with English translations available from her website (large Windows Media file).
This appears to be another in a long line of tapes in which Al Qaeda leaders concurrently warn the West and offer a mutual security "deal" - a complete lie and impossibility, of course, but Al Qaeda will continue to make the "offer." Daveed Gartenstein-Ross posted about this strategy in December, after al-Zawahiri used the Iraq Study Group report to offer another "deal."
Amazing how the Democrats keep playing into the hands of the enemy and the average American is just too stupid to see it.

Everyone is up in arms about the nuke episode, however, they forget that in the 1980's there was a TV drama regarding a group of white guys (can't remember their political bent) who made a plutonium device, smuggled it onto a WWII carrier in Charleston SC and had it go off. Done in a 'news report' format with lots of disclaimers to avoid a 'war of the worlds' response. I hope this does slap some sense into Americans regarding the stakes we are dealing with here.

"Palestinians' 'Saddam Street' funded by U.S.
Major thoroughfare in West Bank honors executed Iraqi dictator"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "JERUSALEM Palestinians in the northern West Bank have named a major street after late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein that was funded along with the surrounding municipality by the United States Agency for International Development.
Following Saddam's hanging earlier this month, thousands of Palestinians gathered in the Yaabid municipality, just outside of the northern West Bank town of Jenin, to hold a vigil in his honor.
According to Arabic media reports translated by Palestinian Media Watch, local Palestinian municipal leaders and members of armed factions in Jenin named a school and the municipality's main street after Saddam.
WND confirmed with local leaders the Yaabid street currently bares Saddam's name.
(Story continues below)
The Palestinian daily Al-Hayat al-Jadida stated the street's dedication was meant to emphasize the "values of Arabness and Jihad, which [Saddam] represented."
But USAID held a ceremony in July 2005 marking its contributions of $402,000 for paving the Yaabid municipality's main street now named after Saddam as well nearly two miles of inner streets. The American agency also contributed to the reconstruction of the city's main entrance.
USAID regularly funds reconstruction efforts in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, usually hiring local crews to carry out the construction.
USAID's office in Tel Aviv confirmed to WND it coordinated the Yaabid municipality's paving and reconstruction projects.
David Snider, a USAID spokesman, said his agency was not aware the street was renamed after Saddam."
delicious...
Regarding the funded street?
