Wonderful tribute from Hastert
Yes..he's more eloquent (in words, not in delivery) than he looks; IIRC, he did a fabulous eulogy for Reagan also.

Is he, though?
As an aside...there was an awful lot of God "talk" from President Ford...no one objected..THEN.

I went to check out who he is on Wikipedia and it already lists that he collapsed at the Ford Service.
I did too. For a few minutes, Wikipedia said that Congressman Bloomfield was pronounced dead at the hospital. But they later took that down. I hope he is going to be alright.

Now, good friend Cheney is speaking. Our VP is very good at these tributes; he was wonderful to Rumsfeld. Too bad SECDEF had to miss this.
To: Mo1
I just love Dick Cheney. Truly.
He's one in a billion.

I always felt like Ford was like us, that he didn't take himself too seriously and he didn't think he was the be all end all because the became president.

Me too! I had a window open to Netflix and when I hit "home page" there was the Dose on the latest comment's page. I wrote "oh-oh" when I posted.

Different times indeed.
Cheney is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I hope Betty doesn't crack during this one. His daughter is weeping.
