Coordinates, please. It seems like a few B-52's at 55,000 feet, loaded with with JDAM's would help with this situation.
Petty Officer 2nd Class Rich Cleaves, a yeoman aboard USCGC Midgett (WHEC 726), keeps a sharp watch as Midgett's boarding team queries a commercial vessel Dec. 28 in the Gulf of Aden. Midgett, a 378-foot high endurance cutter homeported in Seattle, is one of many U.S. and coalition ships supporting Combined Task Force (CTF) 150, which conducts Maritime Security Operations (MSO) in the Gulf of Oman, the Arabian Sea, Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. CTF 150 also supports Operation Enduring Freedom.

Meanwhile, attention has shifted from the oil-rich Islamic despotate, Sudan, which borders nine other nations and (unlike Ethiopia) also has ports on the Red Sea...

"The U.S. has a counterterrorism task force based in neighboring Djibouti and has been training Kenyan and Ethiopian forces how to protect their borders." It looks to me as if the Ethiopian forces will drive the Islamists to the border where the Kenyans will have their shot at them too. They're likely to destroy Kismayo though.

Nice of them to line up with the sea at their backs. Does the Koran prevent these filthy goat-humping savages from learning how to swim? I hope so - sure would be nice if the Ethiopians gave them their first lessons.

Any vessels or aircraft attempting to deliver "humanitarian aid" should be sunk or shot down. Speaking of which...

This is wonderful news, my congratulations to Ethopia on a job well done.
We should encourage such activism by a lot more regional powers, and pull no punches doing so.
