Muslims and leftists hit hardest. Why would the Muslims be hard hit? The man was not religious. My understanding was they considered him an infidal. He drank alcohol, he killed huge numbers of Shi'ite and Sunni Kurds. For all their faults, most Muslims wanted him dead as much or more than we did.

Word is that Saddam's final request was for "more cowbell...."

Yeah, and the morons insisted he drop Rockefeller from the ticket. Had Ford kept him on the ticket, New York and Pennsylvania would have stayed in the GOP column. And it's not like Rockefeller was a viable Presidential candidate anymore, even by 1976.
I'm with you 100% Howlin.

At DU? I doubt that...but I LOVE that one! :-)

Just today I was listening to a report about Gerald Ford and the Helsinki Accords -- and how the conservatives were against THAT too........and how they all sat home and got Jimmy Carter elected. Times may change .. but some things remain the same

No, you are not.
You WANT to be, but you're not.
The GOP is sick and tired of being blackmailed by you.
Next time, the GOP will move to the middle and attract voters freaked out by the crazy Democrats. Those willing to work together for SOMETHING rather than AGAINST everything will come together and take this country back from the freaks.
And then you'll be completley left out.
How'd that "no compromising" work out for you?

Make that a hundred times shorter. It's a mixed bag. In any event, Saddam deserved to die. He earned it, many times over. The scales will never be balanced, but adding the pebble of his corpse to the scale to make them less unbalanced, is all that can be done at this point.

Back to the actual topic of this thread...
It's quite amusing to see the Libs cry all over this pathetic excuse for a human being. If you read some of the posts on DU, you'll see how they're turning him into a martyr already.
Apparently, Saddam was a great, kind leader. Who knew?

I wonder how long it will take before the MSM will call for a moment of silence. Or maybe for a street to be named after him?

"I am ashamed to be human"
ROFLMAO! Well, golly gee, I am ashamed that these DU-bozos share in the protections and freedoms of this great country. Anyone who is more concerned about Saddam's fate than that of all of his victims (and virtually no one on the left cared a fig for Saddam's mass graves full of victims) is truly depraved.
Anyone more concerned about Saddam's fate than about the millions of INNOCENT people who are still being threatened, abused, and/or slaughtered by Islamo-fascists over wide stretches of the globe is truly depraved.
