There IS the possibility that they did it already, but have to verify, sign paperwork, etc....THEN announce the deed done.

Well, I turned FNC on for nearly the first time in a few months and heard some guy talking about how Saddam didn't have anything to do with jihadists.
#1. Saddam wrote the Koran in his own blood. It took 3 years for him to do this, primarily because he didn't want to lose too much blood at once. Doesn't sound very secular to me.
#2. Saddam paid Palestinian suicide bomber families. How secular is that?

Except they are Arabs and don't have the same view of time as we do. They may have set midnight as the hour but may not actually get around to the hanging for some time.
Punctuality is not a valued concept when dealing with God's will.
