Fox News is running a story that it has confirmed that Saddam has been handed over to Iraqi authorities. Fox says that an Iraqi judge has said Saddam will be executed tomorrow at the latest.

What I had heard was they wanted him executed by the start of the Muslim holiday (Eid, I think). Sunset in Baghdad is 9 am
Eastern Time, or thereabouts, tomorrow...and just as with
Judaism, I guess the Muslim day begins at sundown the night before; thus the need to hang him before sunset on Sat.

Please keep our troops in your prayers as Saddam's loyalists will probably go on another rampage over this coming weekend. May our Lord keep them safe while these thugs commit their crimes of murder and mayhem.

He has technically been handed over, but you better believe that there are numerous soldiers in close proximity to him.
I am envisioning the handover like this.

If it's already on "the street" that he's been handed over, my guess is he's already dead. That's not a bad guess, given how they have done similar things in the past to keep the enemy off guard. Like the transfer of sovreignty that took place 3 days early, for instance.
They may be in the editing room, spooling up the laugh track for Saddam's video as we speak.
