I remember seeing a video of a hanging where they intentionally put the knot on the side of the neck with the one to be hanged standing on the tailgate of a truck. When the truck drove away slowly the person's neck was not broken and left to torment until death. The hood came off and they could watch their own hanging. This is how he should die.

..to be aced by a firing party indicates some honor...
On the other hand, to be blasted into smithereens by several hundred eager volunteers using rifles, shotguns, blunderbusses, missle-launchers, flame-throwers and slingshots tends to dampen the honor a wee bit.
