Hmmm.... I wonder what Medved thinks about the portrayal of Japanese soldiers as nice guys?

He said there was brutality portrayed too. Medved did actually see the movie.

Medved is honest in his reviews. He said that the brutality of the Japanese is shown but also, essentially, their human side. Most interesting was that the Japanese General lived in, and loved, the United States. I will eventually see it on DVD based on his review.

Now, "the Good Shepard", that s*cked according to Medved. A slow, full 3 hours of fiction. He said it is 3 hours of your life you will want, but will never, get back....

Moreso then the Germans or the Italians, the Japanese soldiers back then really were the equivalent of today's Islamic Jihadists.

Eastwood made not just one, but two, movies. One from the point of view of the Americans and the other from the point of view of the Japanese. You might be confusing the two.
