Later, the president signed The Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006, a bill that will extend tax relief to millions of American families and small businesses and add momentum to a growing economy. Click HERE for a complete transcript of the presidents remarks.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met with Andrew Natsios, U.S. special envoy to Sudan and Darfur, at the State Department.
And Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, along with Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, General Peter Pace made a surprise visit to Baghdad where they met with troops and commanders to discuss future options in Iraq.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
I agree.
Is it just me or doesn't that look like a TV set the way the top is. I know it's a real room, but looks like a set the way the picture is taken. Appears as if there's no ceiling with lights all around. Strange.
Uh-oh, which thread??
Aw, go on ;)
.
I almost thought so, too. But then I saw the balcony above it .. very interesting room.
And the arrogance! They're not capable of asking a simple question. Every word has to be drenched in elitist sarcasm (eg, Kelly O'Donnell)
Thank you. You have a wonderful one, too.
I decided today that I am LESS inclined to like him because I think it was HIS influence that got Pres. Bush into "trouble" with the media.
He was interviewed not too long ago, and said firmly, "we are winning the war"....but, then the WaPo comes out with him saying yesterday, "we aren't winning, but we aren't losing"..
THAT is is the EXACT same thing that Robert Gates said, when he came back from his break during his confirmation hearing...after he told Carl Levin that we are NOT winning the war in Iraq...
Someone must have said something to him...because he "amended" his answer after the lunch break to "we are not winning, but we are not losing, either"...
Today, Pres. Bush got "caught" saying the same lame thing....and I think it is GATES that has gotten him on the wishy washy talking points...
Therefore, IMO...he is WRONG for the job.
I can't speak for everyone, but I'm in the "give him a chance" camp.
I don't know if this is true or not, but I understand that the antiseptic gels that are in the pump bottles and I assume the wipes are really only good UNTIL you touch something else. I hear there's no "hold over" period. As I said I'm not sure if this is really the case, and would love to know if anyone has heard that also. If so hardly seems worth the effort to even use them.
LOL! Exactly :)
((((Thank Ya & same wishes back atcha, x 2 Ony!))))
I do agree with that.
I'm more in the "I'll give him a chance but I don't really like him" camp.
I listened to the presser on my NPR radio station...and they said that this was the first time this room has ever been used for a presser or speech.
You did deliver a wonderful dose today jonny. Thanks very much.
Sums it up nicely.
Thank you, as always, for posting these great articles.
;)
