President Bush held a news conference this morning in the Indian Treaty Room at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C. Click HERE for a complete transcript.
Later, the president signed The Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006, “a bill that will extend tax relief to millions of American families and small businesses and add momentum to a growing economy”. Click HERE for a complete transcript of the president’s remarks.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met with Andrew Natsios, U.S. special envoy to Sudan and Darfur, at the State Department.
And Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, along with Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, General Peter Pace made a surprise visit to Baghdad where they met with troops and commanders to discuss future options in Iraq.

My niece and her family are coming in from Boxford .. but I've not been in that area for years. Always just go to my hometown area. Looks like it'll be 50 on Friday .. and no snow for Christmas .. ;(. Was looking forward to a white Christmas, but it may snow the day after. Have a good one, Suzi.

I don't think I've ever seen a news conference held in that room. I'm sure there have been, I just don't remember.

***Here in Texas the grocery stores have antiseptic cloths next to the grocery carts for us to wipe the handle off with... ***
Thanks for the reminder. UP here in Western NY our Wegman's grocery store also has them. I better remind my son who has very little protection against germs because of years of cancer treatments.
