"The point is that Rudy seems to have a sense of humor, and every politician in N.Y. gets involved in the festivities."

I don't have a problem with a sense of humor, but with the festivities they get involved with. Perhaps he's better off moving into the entertainment biz, instead.

"Dressing like the opp. sex for entertainment has been a part of Western Civilization.(See ancient Greece)"

Of course, those ancient civilizations have since ceased to exist. ;-)

"Not my cup of tea, but Victor Victoria was very popular around the country."

I rather enjoyed the film. Robert Preston was fabulous. ;-)

"Why did you drag RR into this?"

Excellent question. RR was an entertainer, but there were some things he simply wouldn't do. Most of us consider him to be one of the most dignified officeholders to ever occupy the WH, and he was no stiff. I think it's important we continue to try to adhere to the high standards he put in place, not only personally, but ideologically. Failure to do so makes us no better than the opposite party. Rudy just doesn't meet the RR standard of excellence.

You don't know what you're talking about! Go on....prove it or shut up! Go do the research and then and only then, get back to me.

And FWIW.....when your candidate, whomever it might be, doesn't win the GOP primary and you come onto FR and whinge and whine and tell everyone here that they must stay home or vote for some malodorous, fruitcake of a fringe party candidate, don't be shocked when you get suspended or banned. It WILL happen.

Thanks! :-)

My daughter belongs to netficks, so I'll ask her if it's on the list, when we're out there, for Christmas. :-)

A divorce is a legal proceeding...and annullment is a religious procedure.

Just the facts here,,,he was divorced TWICE, ok?

Hey Trader, don't think I didn't want to reply. I was busy on the phone.

I wouldn't want to miss your insightful posts.

Let's find the right definition as per Merriam Webster dictionary, shall we?

Main Entry: divorce
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English divorse, from Anglo-French, from Latin divortium, from divertere, divortere to divert, to leave one's husband
1 : the action or an instance of legally dissolving a marriage

Main Entry: annulment
Function: noun
1 : the act of annulling : the state of being annulled
2 : a judicial or ecclesiastical pronouncement declaring a marriage invalid

So it's not what it means to me, but what it really means. Let me translate this for you:

An annulment says that no marriage ever existed... see the word “invalid?” That means, "being without foundation or force in fact, truth, or law b : logically inconsequent." Now, invalid doesn't mean dissolved.

OK, now “divorce”recognizes they were married and it's now dissolved, which means terminated, finito, finished, done, over.

One is invalid and the other is dissolved. Capisce? Comprende? Get it?

Also, you left out this little thingy I posted on my post as well... So he had two previous wives, not 3.

Which means that I agree he had two previous wives before he got married again.

OK, good night.

Seriously,

If people aren't banned for supporting Rudy Giuliani
--RUDY GIULIANI, for pete's sake--
I can't see them banned for supporting some third party candidate.

But it's no big deal. Rudy can just toughen the Campaign Finance Reform he supports, take away the citizens' weaponry, and make sure nobody is allowed to disagree with him by law. Then we won't have to worry about those darn Rudy dissenters.

He'll take care of 'em, don't worry.

That's going to come up and look incredibly embarrassing on top of everything else (and the adultery in the second marriage as well), and the jokes won't stop (picture Leno: "Didya hear Rudy married his cousin ? I guess he's trying to appeal to the West Virginia voters !").

LOL!!! That's funny. Well, we know how much people cared about those issues when Clinton was President and when he won reelection. Of course we should strive for better, but in the end the electorate chooses the president.

As for asking for a conservative, it seems the country is less enamored with conservatives than it was a few years ago.

Going to bed.

Nighty night, all. It was fun.

Perhaps you need to find out more about the charity events that use HAIRY LEG SHOWS.

Look up the elite boarding schools and the top colleges and find out that this kind of show has been going on, at these institutions, since colonial times. Yes, even at the co-ed ones. And yes, these ARE the schools from which many of our presidents have attended.

Reagan was a B movie actor and as such, he had little to no say in the roles or movies he was in. But he WAS a member of The Bohemian Grove and they DO have HIARY LEG SHOWS.

Did you?

Please drop me a FREEPmail, after you've seen it, and let me what you thought. :-)

I'm going away, so I will either have to get my kiddo to get it for me on netflicks, or wait until I get home, to see the thing.

There's that hypocrisy. Again. We should be drawn and quartered (banned from FR) for thinking about a Guiliani candidacy and entertaining the possibility tha the man may have a something to say, and a record to be seriously discussed, but he should be perfectly free to support a third party candidate without sanction (banned from FR), should he choose to.

See what we're up against?

Listen up, little newbie, and listen well to what I told you before. The management of FR allows a bit of rough and tumble ( but really, not this much ) during the primary season, but come the general election, it does NOT and fringe party exponents are NOT welcome. Doubt me? Check with the boss.

You want the powers that be to zot Rudy supporters? He's a REPUBLICAN, he's probably going to enter the GOP primaries and you want his supporters banned? Figures..........

Reference the Chatholic religious annulment he got,,,

Man, you Rudy-apologists are really groping when it comes to 'splitting hairs' on this one....lol. I think you need to correct the THOUSANDS of pages on google that also refer to his two 'divorces' and two ex-wives. You best get the word out as soon as possible on that one.

BTW, who in the heck ever said he said three ex-wives??? I didn't. Not yet, anyway.

Have a good day AND a good night.

Classic.

Insults, personal attacks, and get-the-hell-out-of-my-partyism. Add in a dash of "Conservative social/moral/cultural issues are for losers," and "God, Guns and Gays coalition" - an actual Howard Dean line.

Classic.

Truly, Rosie O'Donnell Republican is befitting.

You're not suggesting that Titans is...gasp!...suggesting the suppression of Free Speech, are you? Why, that wouldn't be American, would it? It certainly wouldn't be CONSERVATIVE (even in his narrow, incorrect understanding of the term).

You have just witnessed the first indication of what I like to call the "Wraparound Conservative"; someone who has gone so far to the right that they begin to sound, and act, like leftists.

I think this applies to Titans, pardons. What do you think?
