Normally I don't like it when foreigners stick their noses into American domestic politics, but in this case I'll make an exception.

Naturally, we can expect this story to receive as wide coverage in the US medai as, say, the calls for Rumsfeld to resign following Abu Gharab, or for Rove to resign following the Plame outing.

For those who don't know, Lord Monkton of Brenchley wrote a superb article on the science of climate change in the Sunday Telegraph on the 5th November 2006. His article
APOCALYPSE CANCELLED is a 40 page .pdf file should clear up any misgivings any thinking person might have about the so-called problem of global warming. Warning: 1.78Mb

Should Johnson die or resign the Dems would put great pressure on Snowe and her ilk to jump ship a la Jeffords. I, for one, have no faith in her loyalty.

That letter was the most vile piece of fear mongering fascist leaning list of threats under color of law I've seen in my life.

On the face of it, this is a story the MSM should love: "Prominent European Slaps American Politicians Over Free Speech Denial."
So I wonder why we haven't seen anything about it? ;)

WOW!
"Churchillian" is not an adjective that ought to be flung about loosely, but I think in this case it does apply.

The link to Monckton's open letter is in the article, but isn't obvious.
Here it is. It's even punchier than the the article implies. After you read it you'll want to rename the author "Lord Monckton, Krushinator of Brenchley".
