I'm beyond embarrassed. I'm totally disgusted. Thank God for the people in SAR. They actually care, and have compassion for their fellow man. Something that seems to be totally lacking around here. I can't believe some of the posts I have read on this thread. Are that many people really devoid of love and compassion? Scary.

There is a huge difference between not caring and not rescuing, and people pointing out that taking risks is a good thing as long as you take personal responsibility.

And is seems like a legitimate question to ask who pays for risky behavior that goes bad. I'm not hearing people calling off the rescue, but wondering about the decision making all around.
