WOW so many arguments in just a few sentences.

The policy of the ECB does not fit for every country at every time because different regions are in a different political conditions and different economic cycles

but

the benefits are much higher than the negative impacts and every study, every example in the past and present shows that.
Even italy as the most famous example why a single currency can not work is simply not true when someone really is interested here and has a open mind. The problem for italy is not the single currency the problem is that italy thought for decades that they can solve structural economic problems with the devaluation of the lira. you can not solve longterm problems with short term answers and also italy reached a point where this could not go on. Someone has to see the positive impact of the lower rates to the huge italian debt and the economy.

That does not fit to your point of view but that´s a different thing. It is the free decision of the british people to join the euro or not.

I am very confident that i am right here because in the long run arguments and facts will win over emotions and fears even in britain.

by the way i have a english colleague here who declares himself being european instead of english. he starts doing so this summer because according to him that´s the only way to avoid further humiliations in football.
You have to see the positive sites of being european.

I'm really not interested in your fantasies. At least you admit that the one size fits all monetary policy doesn't work. As for your English colleague, he is in a distinct minority.

My opinion is this. We have nothing in common with you. While the Continent has been polluted with revolution and war, we've been stable, slowly evolving our government over millenia. We believed in capitalism before it was a twinkle in the eyes of the Continent. Our tax system, regulation, all are much freer than yours. We don't agree and we will never agree. I don't want you shoving your way down my throat, particularly since France's unemployment rate, and Germany's unemployment rate shows - it doesn't work.

So take your pan-Europeanism back to Brussels. Or better still, shove it up your arse.

I should point out that your arrogance, your presumption of superiority, and the smugness that comes from your belief inevitable triumph makes me incendiary with rage. Don't you effing dare tell me or mine how to run my country. Don't you effing DARE!

Your assumption that Britain is inevitably bound to join a pan-European political entity has impressive historical precedents. Hitler and Napoleon believed this too.
