The President and First Lady spent the weekend at the White House attending church as usual and also attended Christmas in Washington an annual Christmas event which was taped on Sunday.
Today the President and Vice President met with the Secretary of State at the State Department to discuss the situation in Iraq.
Over the weekend the outgoing Secretary of Defense Don Rumsfeld made a farewell visit to the troops in Iraq.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

At this point...I am hoping that the MSM may be "killing" their golden goose by giving him too much hype and exposure. I am right there with you. On the radio this morning they pointed out how at this stage 4 years ago that Dean was the front runner. We all know how that turned out.

Thank you for posting the DOSE last evening -- AWESOME job per usual!!
[FYI: You may want to ask the Admin to change the date of last night's DOSE from December 7 to December 11!]

Can't imagine what it must be like in Hussein's home state. We see so much of him down here that some think he's our senator. It is insane. Anything that happens the local media has to get his opinion. I'm suprised he's not handing out fashion tips.
Seriously, I just don't get it. What has this guy done to warrant this kind of attention?? He hasn't done squat. It reminds me of when Sideshow Bob ran for congress. "Flames and horns added for effect."
It's so out of control that I'm starting to think it's manufactured. Rent-a-mob or flash-mob sort of tactics. "Let's tell the masses how loved and in demand Obama is and people will love and demand him!"

CSPIN just replayed the Rumsfeld Town Hall Meeting at the Pentagon. I only caught the very last minute or two.
Rumsfeld will be seen as the greatest Secretary of Defense ever.

Given the number of professionally printed signs and posters at the New Hamshire event, you can be sure that the crowd was well orchestrated. Much as all the slick willie hype was orchestrated in the war room!
The real question is.....to what end?
To position him for veep, or to kick her heinous to the curb?

LOL! You know, I am a little disappointed we don't hear more from Dean. Every time he opens his mouth something hysterically stupid comes out.
He's like that crazy relative who blurts out really inappropriate things, but everyone feels obligated to invite to Christmas dinner.
To: OldFriend
I absolutely concur. He towers over most of the rest, IMO.
I loved in his interview with Sean, how he talked about the fact that getting things done and making big changes generates controversy and doesn't lend itself to popularity.
He's the same as his boss. Doing the right thing......the courageous thing...... rather than worrying about what people think of you.
I thank God for Donald Rumsfeld, and wish him the very best as he FINALLY gets some rest!

I am happy to see that big smile on Rumsfeld's face these days.
That smile on the President's face is driving the MSM out of their minds. They've gone round the bend with the insults.
All the best to you and yours, Jan

Dean just issued a statement demanding that the republican, Buchanan, who won in Florida NOT be seated. The opponent wants a new election. As if there's a chance of that.
Many people didn't vote for that seat at all and Dean is insisting they would have, should have, blah blah. Never mind that they DIDN'T.

That's what I don't get either. And where is this all coming from? Unions? Soros? Who exactly is bankrolling this media extravaganza?

He is very charming, isn't he? Even the hardcore libs at the DoD who met him actually liked him as a person.

I love Laura's suit! Especially the collar detail. It puts the emphasis where she benefits from it.
