I am honestly sorry to have to disagree with you, but I cannot share your view. I would point to the vile terrorists of today who are currently sawing the heads off of innocents and murder young children merely for being Christians.
There are some amongst us on this earth, who through their beliefs and actions, have removed themselves from the realm of humanity and deserve nothing more merciful than a quick painless end -if they even truly deserve that.
The Sixth Commandment says Thou Shall not Murder, not thou shall not kill... As a Christian and a member of the US Military, I take pleasure at the removal of these "people" from the earth, see their absence as a blessing, and tell you that free from even the slightest bit of remorse or guilt.
I think he gets it now sir! Yours is a great post.
Sir, I'm sorry, but I must dispute with you on the idea that there are people truly so fallen. The Scriptures teach that the Holy Spirit are given to ALL, and that there are chances for everyone to be saved and come into redemption and faith. There are certainly those who, by their crimes, deserve death, but to say that there are those who have become so depraved that the Holy Spirit is forever inaccessible to them, even by the most drastic of conversions, well, I just can't agree with that.
And again I don't think that executions without trial are particularly sanctioned by the Scriptures.
