Jimmy Carter said universities with substantial Jewish enrollment have blocked him from discussing his book Palestine: Peace not Apartheid.
My most troubling experience has been the rejection of my offers to speak, for free, about the book on university campuses with high Jewish enrollment and to answer questions from students and professors, Carter said in an Op-Ed published Friday in the Los Angeles Times. The former U.S. president made a similar charge in a C-Span interview earlier this week; asked to elaborate, he would not name the universities, except to say he was invited by individual professors, but turned down by the universities leadership.
Carters book, which blames most of the impasse in Israeli-Palestinian peace talks on Israels settlement policy, is a New York Times No. 1 bestseller, and he has promoted it in multiple media appearances.
And now to more important stuff....
"Let us rap mini me"....
"911 came and they said they would fight back.
But Dimorats surrender, because they smoke crack
3000 died but the rats don`t care
They want Bush out, bring back the Clinton pair
Eight years of terror and fundraisers galore
The US burned while Bill screwed a whore
Now they want Hellary to rule once again
only this time it will be with a les-bi-an."
Jimmah shoulda stuck to shellin peanuts
Considering he and his ilk had nothing to say and no apparent outrage when Dr. Laura, David Horowitz, Ann Coulter, Ward Connerly, etc. etc. were banned, shouted down, demonstrated against..... forgive me if I don't give a rat's ass.
Jews still vote majority liberal so I dont get this at all.
Well, duh, that's what happens when you are excessively pro-Palentinian.
Yes, of course, Jimmy. Everyone knows that were it not for Israel, everyone in the Middle East would get along. Everyone knows that all the Islamic countries treat the Palestenians well and any problems are Israel's fault. /SARCASM
Well now...there's your problem right there Jimmuh bo'. If you want people to think your dribblings are worth a hoot, you should charge accordingly. Oh. You did. Never mind.
Now he knows what it feels like to be a conservative...
Won't name the universities? Hah--I don't believe you, peanuthead.
I will also admit, right here right now and proudly, that I am perfectly comfortable believing every single little thing the msm writes about this man. Down to the last ridiculous detail
Maybe Carter's book would sell better if he offered a free copy of "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" along with it. It would go over well with his type of audience.
Carter's comments really are getting closer to straight out anti-semitism. Now the Jews are censoring him on "their" campuses.
This strikes me as an odd complaint, seeing that universities regularly blackball conservative speakers--or else initially invite them to speak, and then disinvite them to mollify left-wing academics and students.
Carters book...blames most of the impasse in Israeli-Palestinian peace talks on Israels settlement policy...
Ariel Sharon had many settlements dismantled in August 2005. Whether that was wise or not is open to debate. But the point is, it happened. And did that lead to a new era in the Middle East--an era of "peace, not apartheid"? Of course not. The Palestinian maximalists--who seem to be growing exponentially--have no desire to live in a Palestinian state, next to Israel. They wish to occupy all of "the Zionist entity," and finish the grisly job that Hitler began.
I agree. One thing though. I like the fact that conservatives are civil... but I am beginning to wonder if we are not fighting back hard enough. Our ignoring him really does not do much to point out his flaws. Maybe we are all too quiet, and when we are, the MSM likes that because they spend a lot of time making him appear to be a saint. I think some attention needs to be put to the issue just to make it be heard. I remember those young Republicans in Florida after the 2000 election storming the room when they were openly going to skew the vote. It did wonders. I think evil gets a foothold when we allow it and are just too meek to speak out.
The universities should allow Carter to speak, and the students should wear the Yellow Star armbands Jews were required to wear by the Nazis. Their response to Carter should be dead silence.
